Great service and ok vegan options

It is a good restaurant to go with a group who isn’t vegan. Casual and very friendly service. The vegan burrito is very simple (rice, beans and avocado) but actually pretty tasty, especially with some hot sauce. Also is a burger and tacos that can be made vegan.

Cons: Wish there were more options

Options here for vegetarians for sure. I had a tasty vegetarian burritos

Not good.

I wanted to like it based on the location. Also nice to have another restaurant to dine with meat eaters but this isn’t it.

Very limited options

I appreciate any restaurant that makes an effort to include vegans and vegetarians but this barely qualifies. The beans tasted like meat and the staff seemed not to know. It’s a popular place but vegans and vegetarians probably should stick the margaritas.

Good vegan options - menu clearly labeled

We stopped here after getting off a water taxi from the pier and we’re all starving. I was the only vegan in our group but we just walked up to this restaurant and asked if they offered vegan food. The waitress showed us the menu and said that the menu items in green were all either vegetarian or vegan (or could be made vegan). I can’t remember how many there were but there were quite a few options. I ordered a potato burrito and it was really good. The margs were also very good!

Great casual Mexican food spot

My partner and I ate dinner at Cafe San Angel last night and were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress knew what was and wasn’t vegan. We were able to order the bruschetta without cheese (it was phenomenal) as well as mushroom tacos. The tacos come in orders of 5 and came with mushrooms, peppers and onions as well as a side of raw onions and salsas.
