Paying for the view - Edit
The impossible burger was amazing and it comes with rosemary fries. Quite pricy at 28 dollars but the view makes it worth it. Staff is kind and they have fireplaces on the deck and inside.

Upscale rooftop bar-restaurant with fantastic city views - Edit
Charmaine's comfortably perches atop the Proper Hotel, hugged by a balcony with tables arranged around fire pits. One of the hottest spots before the pandemic hit. Recently reopened with an updated booking policy—$75 per person minimum with an automatic 20% gratuity. Seats are limited so best to reserve online. My friend and I were able to walk in on an early Friday evening with no wait. They take their COVID protocols very seriously which include taking our temperatures when we walked in.
Read moreVegan options include the copped salad, tempeh bahn mi, and Impossible burger. The tempeh bahn mi was delicious. The herbed tempeh was probably one of the best prepared tempeh I’ve ever had. The sandwich also came with a tasty vegan aioli that paired nicely with spice from the jalapenos.
Note: since it is San Francisco, wear layers as it can suddenly turn windy and cool. Blankets are available by request.
