Visited this restaurant many times. Food always good and serve hot. Aunty and uncle (owners) always attentive and super duper friendly. :”) You can ask if the dish is vegan or not since they both can speak English 💓During the pandemic, they always clean the table for a good hygiene.

Auf dem Weg dorthin wirkt es etwas "ramschig" (kleine Seitenstraße die eine Sackgasse ist) aber das Essen ist es definitiv wert! Frisch, lecker, schnell serviert, nette Bedienung die auch einigermaßen Englisch versteht und angemessene Preise.

We can't comment on the food as we did not eat here. We were in the area and although we'd already eaten were keen for a small bite to eat (the reviews are very good). We were informed by a very unwelcoming lady that we were not allowed to share food & must order at least an item each (which was considerably more than we wanted to eat or spend). She communicated their 'no sharing' policy very forecefully so much so that we walked out and were put off from ever coming back here again.

I went on a Sunday evening and the little shop was quite busy. People were even waiting for seats to open up. I ordered a masala dosa which was quite tasty. The food around me all looked very nice as well. Despite it being busy and it looking like there was only one person in the kitchen, the food arrived in good time. Price was fair and overall was a nice experience.

The staff was nice and helpful in choosing a dish. The menu had all English translation so you knew exactly what to expect. It was yummy and had nice flavours. However it was more expensive than we expected.

The food here is incredible-- it was some of the best Indian food I've had, unfortunately my review can only be true for 2 dishes because they were the only two they could prepare when we first arrived at the restaurant over an hour after opening.
Read moreSo we tried visiting again for dinner-- after all, the food was so GOOD, but again they could only prepare Dosas. Sadly the dosa from the morning was super weak on filling and my partner and I ended up going to eat somewhere else afterwards.
The place is definitely functional, not relaxing or pretty to look at, all the signs show great quotes about conscious living which I loved! It's just too bad they don't have much of a menu, at least 75 minutes after opening or 75 minutes before closing.

Previously they were close to Temple . The food is AWASOM me and my wife loves it we are living in Hong Kong . For 35 years . And haven't ben to Bangkok for three years for health reasons but still missing their food , wish them the very best

Nice food and the owner spoke good English and understood vegan, which was helpful. Unfortunately we felt a bit pushed into having their Thali (mixed plate, the one in the main photo), which was a bit more expensive, when I would have liked to try a dosa. It was nice enough but not my recommended dish.

The Chennai kitchen is simple, small restaurant located on a street with several other veggie/vegan options. I enjoyed the thali (150 bhat) and a mango lassi (80 bhat). Indian families were eating at two other tables, which is a good recommendation.

I came to this restaurant several times when it was in it's original location, and although I enjoyed it, I agree with some previous reviews that it was a little dirty.
Read moreWhen exactly it moved in not sure, but it's now on a different premises on the same street (directly opposite Bonita), which is far, far cleaner and aesthetically pleasing.
The menu and the pricing are exactly the same as before, so you can expect to pay the same money, for the same delicious Indian food. But it's a far more welcoming place to sit now. I enjoyed it.

I Eat Here Every Trip To Bangkok - Edit
I love the food here, worked my way round the small photo wall menu. The thali is delicious and filling. The sweet lassi is a must have with every meal and I dream of the masala dosa and the poori with potato. The owner is quiet but friendly, he sometimes explains the menu. Often local Indians eat here, always a good sign. I've eaten here so many times.

For Bangkok I would say they have moderate prices.

A bit on the dirty side, but generally acceptable flavours. The locals just dive in with their bare hands, so it can be a bit offputting watching adults slovenly bear into wet rice and soup with their fingers... The owner is very polite and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was satisfied. I had to do some clever pantomime to ensure the absence of dairy, but the meal was served nonetheless with a side of yoghurt. He took it away, but the waste of it is exactly what I was trying to avoid.

Very uninspired food by a nice woman. The guy (husband?) couldn't be bothered to explain what some of the more obscure Indian named things in the Thali were, which fair enough, is perhaps difficult to explain. He proceeded to sit in front of his laptop and space out.

A Great South Indian Restaurant - Edit
I have visited this small restaurant a few times and I've always had great food there. I usually opt for the South Indian Thali, which costs 150 baht (GBP3, USD4.50). If you're new to South Indian food it gives a good overview of the different dishes. The menu is still a bit confusing to me, as I'm not used to all the foods, but I am learning. So I will visit more often and find out more about South Indian food. The thali isn't vegan but they will make it vegan if you ask.

This place is definitely one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Bangkok. Nothing fancy by any means, but the food is amazing and the owners are super nice. Try the 'mysore rava masala' dosa or the thali set meal. Although the menu is limited, the dishes that they do serve are done perfectly everytime. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
