Tasty thalis for a fair price - Edit
I actually went here before last year, had different thalis. Last time I had to wait quite a long time which left me in a rush as it can get quite busy. This time my food came quickly. You have to clarify ingredients when ordering thali which can be a bit inconvenient; taste is always in point, though. Prices are affordable for Silom area.
Read moreI don't really like the ambiance though and the toilet is in very bad condition.
It's good food, but wouldn't go here for the atmosphere.

Thali for a Price - Edit
A local invited me here and I was quite pleased. Amiable staff and all you can eat delicious Thali. As a result it’s one of the mostly expensive meals I ate in Bangkok.

Good food, large portions and cheap - Edit
South India food is very good. The perfect amount of spices and the Sunday unlimited thali is really worth ordering. It's a lot of food really. Many different breads (chapati, etc.) and a different sauces. Owners are actually from Myanmar but they are from an Indian family. I think the sauces were a little watery but they tasted good.

Great thali plate - Edit
We had the thali special and were not disappointed. Every curry was delicious! The medu vada fried donut appetizer was also delicately spiced. Highly recommended! The best thali we have had in Thailand so far.

Authentic Indian food - Edit
A must try for indian food lovers! Very good value for money and yummy! I would like them to improve the atmosphere and provide cleaner utensils. If you look for great food and good value for money this is a place! But not a place to chill and enjoy the vibe.
Read moreAlso, the menu is not very explanatory, (the menu will says Chana Masala instead of Chickpea curry, Utthapam without explanation of what it is or how it looks like, for example) so you gotta do a bit of homework and learn about sout Indian cuisine a bit before coming here, otherwise you would be confused by all the names. I find that it is endearing and don't mind this though.

Pros: Most things are vegan
Cons: The menu is not explanatory, The utensils could be cleaner, Limited seatings

I ordered paneer butter masala (vegan, sub tofu for paneer) encouraged by the owner. It's a bit on the salty side, but still taste good. Very thick and creamy. The owner heard my feedback. He said he would like to make the vegan paneer masala a part of the menu and encourage vegams to order this.

Mysore masala dosa and latcha parrota - Edit
Super friendly owner and amazing dosas. The owner knows about veganism and he understands. Pretty certain all of the things I ate were vegan. Most of the menu is naturally vegan just watch out for ghee and yogurt.

Hidden Gem! Go for the Sunday unlimited thali! - Edit
Warning: watch your HEAD and your FEET when you walk in the door as there is both a short door and a trip hazard simultaneously.
Read moreI hate to add to this places fame, as it seems it's mostly unknown outside the local indian community. Good things can't last forever once they become popular with tourists. I went twice, once for a regular meal and once at lunchtime on Sunday for the unlimited thali platter. A single set meal is not really enough for a full meal, but for just a slightly higher price you can get unlimted at lunch time. I'm not sure about the difference between what you get for unlimted at weekday lunchtime and what you get on Sunday, but Sunday's deal was incredible. For just 149 bahl I ate enough for 2 or 3 kings. I think the staff were not quite prepared for what I was capable of. Only downside is that it's popular and the seating area is small, so there is always someone waiting for your seat. They also have some special strong filter coffee from South India. Normally it is served with cow milk (not black). They have vegan coconut milk so ask for the filter coffee with the coconut milk, and insist if they say the flavor won't be good. Trust me, it's good. or BYO your own milk of choice if you are not into coconut flavor. I am not familiar with all the terminology for south indian food, so I just asked which items used dairy and made it clear to only bring things without dairy. The staff are great and accommodating.
Overall, this place is a true hidden gem. If you are anywhere near Pan Rd in Silom you need to go here. Go now before the price is increased! It's currently the best deal in Bangkok, or perhaps the entire region.
Pros: fantastic south indian flavors, mostly vegan, accomodating staff
Cons: small space so people are waiting for your seat., some items have dairy, can't last forever at this price

Not your typical Indian restaurant - Edit
This place was fantastic, but the menu was honestly a little difficult to understand. The owner said they have 100% vegan dishes and suggested to try their Masala Dosa (80B) and an Onion Rava (100B), both were delicious. I did order a third plate of Chipati with Rajma Masala (60B). Went for dinner, if you're not familiar with Indian food it can be confusing but the food was totally worth it. Our meal came to 240 baht for those 3 dishes and we both left feeling full (2ppl). Friendly owner can speak English but his accent makes it difficult to understand. If I were in Bangkok for longer I would definitely return. The restaurant is in the alley way to the right of the Family Mart, about 300m up the alley and on the left. Look for the little blue door just before the sink. Remember to duck heading inside, it's a tiny door. About 8 tables of seating available & the sweetest staff.

Cons: A little hard to find , Confusing menu if not aware of Indian dish names, Not all vegan

Worth every penny - Edit
I’ve been there many times since this restaurant is famous among my Thai friends. I usually have South Indian Thali there (119 baht) (ask without buttermilk) and sometimes I have a small Thali which is only 70 baht. I always reduce the carb so I always order just a small amount of rice. Both of the owner are so nice. I always love to talk to them and learn more about the culture. If you are vegan, you definitely check out this restaurant. I think the picture that I posted you can find this restaurant easily.😜

Really good dosa - Edit
We had dosa Massala really good! And the owner suggested us to taste Latcha Parratha and it was also really good! Prices are rather cheap. 80B for the dosa. The owner is sooo friendly!! He speaks English and understands what veganism is. But be careful before eating to ask one more time if the sauces are vegan cause by mistake they gave us a sauce with yogurt.
