The food was very good! As far as I could see all the food was vegan, but they the option of choosing dairy milk with coffee. They had a great selection of cakes as well as lunch options. Had the “mozzarella” sandwich, quiche and mixed berries cake - all delicious!

Wir waren zu 6. (davon 2 Veganer) und haben zum Glück alle Platz gefunden. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam nahezu gleichzeitig und schnell und war sehr gut. Wir hatten alle was unterschiedliches und auch die Nicht-Veganer waren überzeugt vom Angebot und vom Geschmack. Da werde ich bei der nächsten Gelegenheit nicht lange überlegen und das Voglhaus gerne wieder besuchen.

Read moreThe coffee is good, if never had you should try the „Süßlupinen Kaffee“, a caffeine free grain coffee, which can be used for all different coffee creations.
The price is a bit expensive, but this is due to the location near the lake.
I can’t give more than 2 stars because I don’t agree with Demeter and Hildegard von Bingen mindset and agriculture. They use a lot of unscientific „voodoo“ in their work and upcharge for that. ( e. G. Energizing your water)
However this is just personal opinion and I still ate there - just be mindful that you charge more for homeopathic, non scientific but laborintensive farming practices.
Pros: Vegan Milk without upcharge, Good food, Cosy athmosphere

„Das Voglhaus“ has many vegan options. I‘ve tried the Vegi-Maultaschen mit Pilzragout and my friend the Kürbissuppe. The place is lovely, the food delicious and the staff also friendly.

You can find a quiet table for yourself but there is also the possibility to share a big table with other guests. The ambiente is great in a special way: There are nooks and niches where you can sit comfortable sourrounded by goods, you can buy at this eatery which is also a very small department store: candles, decoratve objects, postcards, dishes and other small things you may need in your home or will work as a present for friends or family.
Read moreService is polite and helpful. You first have to order and pay for your beverages and food at the counter, then the drinks and food you have ordered will be brought to your table. It’s certified organic food and there are nice vegan options beside the vegetarian offers.

I loved the food and the philosophy. A concept that brings vegan options to so many people that would probably shy away from it in the first place just by serving high quality cakes, croissants, breakfast and lunch options that happen to be all vegan. They are also organic certified which is still rare in German hospitality and source most of their produce from local farms. A perfect package and best practice concept! They offer deposit for to go coffee and are super sustainable and educational about climate change!

Voglhaus is a really nice and cosy place in the old town of Konstanz! They put emphasis on sustainability, everything is organic and vegan, except the option of getting cow’s milk.

We tried a Mexican Wrap and a Quiche with spinach and vegan feta, as well as a cheesecake and an aryurvedic porridge. The portions are rather small, but everything tasted very good!
Definitely worth to try!

Having breakfast at Das Voglhaus was heaven to me. I adored their hazelnut bread and the spelt "Seele" as well as the spread and cashew cheese. I also ate the banana walnut bread with great relish. My least favourite were the croissant and brownie, however both still are good. With its wooden decor and the different seating niches the place has on top a cozy ambiance. Plus it’s 100% vegan except for cow milk.

Seems to be mainly vegan (apart from the cow‘s milk I remember something with honey), very tasty, friendly and cosy. But then they advertise their energized water and their Demeter products (Demeter agriculture is definitely not vegan) and I don‘t want to support this kind of esoteric pseudo-eco stuff (Schwurbel in german😉).
