The treat that makes you say 'yes' - Edit
At this point, I cannot recall the endless visits to Eb&Bean. Whenever a friend visits town: E&B. Whenever I pass to go over fifteenth avenue: E&B. A hot summer day: E&B. A hot summer night, you guessed it: E&B.
Read moreI enjoy mixing the flavors that are placed next to each other as a swirl of plant/based goodness.
They also carry Buddha chocolate, which moved from Brooklyn to Portland pre-pandemic. They are on Sandy, and they are delicious vegan, sugar-free, kosher and keto (if I recall correctly).
Go have fun in there! Portland had locations in southeast Division (and around 30th) as well.
Pros: Flavors, Peanut butter magic shell, Friendly staff

Great options for vegan frozen yogurt and toppings - Edit
We had fun customizing our frozen yogurt with so many vegan topping options (sadly this place is not all vegan, though). We had hazelnut praline frozen yogurt as the base, and my husband added cookie butter magic shell with Mexican wedding cookies. I added peanut butter magic shell, mini chocolate chips, and Mexican wedding cookies. Everything was excellent. They allowed our dog inside and even gave him his own taster. I would give it five stars if it was 100% vegan.

I can finally enjoy a froyo shop! - Edit
Plentiful vegan yogurts and toppings, including vegan waffle cones, whipped cream, chocolate shell, and caramel sauce! I had a kids cup split hazelnut praline/dark chocolate caramel, topped with vegan waffle cone crumbles and coconut whipped cream. It was delicious😄

Great vegan froyo - Edit
I favor froyo over ice cream so I was excited to try this place. It was great! A number of vegan flavors and my two fav could be swirled. This is a definite yes for me.

Delicious vegan soft serve options - Edit
This place rocks. They are always updating their flavors and adding new vegan options and everything that can be locally sourced is locally sourced. I highly recommend the newtella shell with marionberries.

Satisfying! - Edit
Have a hankering for something sweet that won’t make you feel like total garbage after? This is your spot! Tons of topping choices, things are clearly labeled V for easy choosing.

Three choices - Edit
They had 3 delicious choices. Toppings are all labeled if they are gluten free or vegan. No fruit toppings the day I was there-mostly candies and syrups.

Vegan Softserve To Remember - Edit
This is not a vegan ice cream shop but always has 3 non-dairy offerings. They are great about asking if you want to try any of the flavors. This means that you can see which one you like best before making a selection. The service is friendly and the toppings are plentiful. The cacao nibs with sea salt and the Sift chocolate chip cookie dough (gluten-free and vegan) are my favorite toppings. The vegan soft serve here will satisfy any sweet tooth as it is super duper sweet. Once you put toppings on, you may just reach the bliss point. Wow! The one thing that bums me out here is that I think all the bowls and tableware end up in the landfill.

Cons: Unsure if they recycle any of the bowls/tableware

Dreamy frozen desserts--such fun! - Edit
This is the kind of place vegans usually have to pass by with averted eyes, but Eb & Bean remembered us when they built their store. The March night we were there, 2 of 4 vegan flavors had run out (it was late), but that was enough for me to concoct an 8-inch-high swirl of almond-milk-based Madagascar vanilla fro-yo (on some days, their changing menu includes coco-milk frozen custards) sheathed in a non-dairy caramel shell and balanced on a vegan waffle cone. (My flavor choice was conservative, but I'll be back for the Amarena Cherry Lemon coco-milk frozen custard another day.) Owner Elizabeth Nathan claims she chooses "local and organic whenever possible, and select[s] the best tasting ingredients no matter what." After a whole day of vegan customers, there were only two non-dairy shell flavors left, but checking today's menu, I see six--raspberry, chocolate, "newtella," coconut milk, "mint magic," and peanut butter--wow. For sundae types, there are many toppings, a few labeled V/GF and some where it's obvious--cacao nibs & Jacobson salt, Freddy Guys hazelnuts, or organic Oregon blueberries, for example. Of the four seasonal toppings, only one is labeled non-dairy, but maybe the strawberry rhubarb sauce qualifies too. If you aren't sure, the nice scooper will know. Of course you'll want to perfect your creation with non-dairy coconut whipped cream, so just ask. It's fun to watch grownups walk away from the counter with outrageous constructions they'll never dare discuss with their kids. Children are welcome, of course, but as I said, it was late. As fancy as we found the fro-yo, the decor is spare--all white with red accents, except for a light-hearted wall sculpture of what else? Dozens of yogurt fantasies (see photo)!

amazing vegan froyo - Edit
This vegan froyo was good. The shop isn't vegan itself but had 3 vegan flavors and many vegan and gluten free toppings. I got the palm sugar peanut and cherry almond flavors with marionberry compote, vegan cookie dough, and vegan crumble. It was absolutely delicious and not as heavy as a harder vegan ice cream. Definitely recommend.
