Ice cream parlor but with several labeled vegan flavors, including a version of a Chorlton crack (peanut butter and salted caramel). Ask if the cones are vegan. On the 1st floor of Afflecks Palace in the Northern Quarter. Also has an ice cream van seen at local markets and festivals. Open Mon-Fri 10:30-18:00, Sat 10:00-18:00, Sun 11:00-17:00.

This Charming Cone - Edit
I was more than ready for an ice cream by the time I located this unique little corner of the labyrinth that is Affleck’s Palace (first floor at the back, for your reference). Thankfully, there were two available options, the malted milk coconut and salted caramel & peanut butter, both of which I availed myself. Both of them were really good, I had a slight preference for the latter, but that’s not to say the former was a letdown in anyway. The cone upon which these scoops were sat was also incredibly tasty and the presentation stand it was delivered on was a nice touch that gave a sense of occasion to otherwise mundane undertaking.
Read moreA pleasing visit that did nothing to dispel the notion that I will be returning to try more of what they have to offer.

icecreamadelica - Edit
Nice cosy ice cream emporium, with very good vegan choices.
Read moreThe 3 of us shared two ice creams (chocolate, ginger and rosemary/chocolate), which were deliciously flavoursome and creamy. Generous portion sizes too and the sugar cones were also vegan.
This is a great spot to indulge in some seriously good ice cream, and there are lovely views of the city if you happen to get a window seat.
Pros: Great ice cream, Generous scoops , Vibe

Ginger's not comforting - Edit

Big portion beautiful ices - Edit
We had the malted coconut, chocolate, and the cherry sorbet. I thought when they said '1 scoop' it would be kind of small but it is So Much Ice Cream!!! Really rich delicious flavours. The cherry my favourite I think

Delicious gem - Edit
Been here many times. Ice-cream and sorbets are always delicious. The ice cream flavours tend to change. So they don't always have the same one. All ice-creams can be made into a milkshake. Staff are very friendly.

Nice place - Edit
Nice place, the ice cream is a bit watery, like crystallised frozen water, could be creamier. Flavours are delicious and fresh though, taste really natural.

Four vegan ice cream 🍦 options - Edit
It was boiling today so I stopped by here and got an ice cream, lemon treacle. I was impressed by the many flavours. Served by a friendly girl. She said the cone was vegan, contrary to the description on Happy Cow so looks like they’ve changed that (unless I was poisoned). It was a rainbow cone.

Hidden gem 💎 - Edit
Hidden away in a corner of Afflecks is an absolute treasure. They only have a limited choice of vegan ice creams but I would attempt to eat them all if there was more. The milkshakes are simply the best I have found since I have been vegan and I have been looking long and hard. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area. Limited space but a lovely retro feel.

Worth it for the ice cream - Edit
I went on my birthday and it was honestly not a great day overall but the ice cream cheered me up a fair bit so there you are. I had the strawberry flavour and it tasted exactly how I remember dairy ice cream tasting, with the same mouthfeel.

☆☆☆☆ - Edit
Service was warm & friendly and the blackberry mint sorbet was really nice • it was obviously made with fresh ingredients, and served as a dreamy reminder of summer on a cold, January day!
Read moreMy boyfriend wasn't terribly impressed with the vegan "Chorlton Crack", which he said only tasted like peanut butter (he'd been hoping that more of the salted caramel would come through), but he finished every last bite & we both enjoyed our visit!
• I've left off 1 star as the space itself felt a little bit dirty/in need of care.
Pros: Vegan-friendly treats, Lovely staff
Cons: Space felt a bit messy & not very inviting

Ok but... - Edit
Not actually a vegans paradise. Most options contain dairy and the vegan options are pretty basic like a simple chocolate ice-cream or a sorbet. They also had a vegan brownie which wasn’t really worth its calories. But the staff is well informed and friendly and the prices are ok so if you happen to be at Afflecks it’s fine to stop for a coffee.

Delicious vegan ice cream! - Edit
There were four vegan ice cream/sorbet options when I visited: pear, apple and wheatgrass, malted coconut milk, and Chorlton Crack (their signature peanut butter and salted caramel ice cream, now available for vegans as well). The staff knew about the vegan options and let me know that the cones weren't vegan. I had one scoop of Chorlton Crack, and it was possibly the best ice cream I've ever had! One scoop was definitely enough, it was a gigantic scoop. I was a very satisfied customer! It's a nice little cafe to visit with some comfy booths and free wifi. Definitely recommended for those with a sweet tooth!
