Had the avocado toast, it was made a bit more interesting with some snazzy toppings! Nice chunky toast and a thick layer of avocado. Good for a brunch/lunch spot.
Read more3 out of the 4 cakes available were vegan. Almond, coconut and oat milk available. Laid back atmosphere.

The coffee was great, as was the kronut and I would return again.

Great for coffee and cake - Edit
I always enjoy a visit to the fig and sparrow when I'm in Manchester and I was not disappointed on my recent trip.
Read moreI had a very nice cafe latte and a great lotus brownie. It was a good size slice of brownie and the texture was good. A little bit dry but it was definitely a brownie rather than a chocolate cake being called a brownie.

Only had a coffee there so can't comment on the food but the coffee was amazing! They had a vegan ginger & orange brownie on the counter.

Lovely vegan breakfast! - Edit
We stayed in Manchester and this place was underneath our apartment! We saw how busy it was each day, so decided to check out the breakfast menu! Was really happy with the Vegan breakfast. They had run out of sausage, so replaced it with a lovely patty! The sweetcorn fritters we’re also really pleasantly different!

Top notch vegan breakfast! - Edit
They served me one of the best vegan brunches I've ever eaten. Everything on the plate was delicious. I had a lovely cup of tea too. I don't drink coffee, but my friends do and they said it was great. Good choice of plant milks. The only small negative is that there was only one vegan cake option, which was not something I would choose, so I skipped dessert.

If I am to go and work somewhere or read with a bit of ambience, I’d always choose here. Vegan options for cakes and caters to gluten free diets too.

Dog (and people) friendly! - Edit
Great food, great atmosphere, great people. My wee dog was made as welcome as I was. The vegan porridge and the oat milk coffee were both excellent.

Tasty Vegan Cherry Brownie - Edit
Only been here for coffee and a cherry vegan brownie and dear god that brownie was sent from the gods. It was chewy and fudgy and tasted so good! Coffee was very strong but still tasted very nice and they have all the dairy free milks and stuff. Would like to come back and try some food but really recommend the cakes!

Coffee stop - Edit
Only had an almond mocha, but absolutely loved this little place! So much character and filled with so many interesting people :) Staff were super friendly and the drink I had was good. Unfortunately I'd already eaten so didn't order anything off the menu (there were one or two options and some cakes as well) ! Brilliant choice of plant based milks too! Will definitely be back soon

Lovely little cafe - Edit
This is a lovely little place in the Northern Quarter, perfect for grabbing a light breakfast/lunch and a piece of cake. There are a few different milks available for hot drinks. They always have a vegan cake, and I've tried some delicious muffins there before. Most recently I had the pecan brownie and it was incredible - the best brownie I've had in a very long time. It's a nice place to do a little work or just to relax/chat.
