Bakery
Bakery in front of a homestay which offers cakes and tarts. Half of the menu is vegan, gluten free and organic. Vegan cakes are labelled on the menu. Also offers whole cakes with 24 hours advance notice. Vegan items include organic banana dark chocolate, banana dream, carrot pineapple cake and cassava dark chocolate. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-11:00pm.

Rich tasty choc cassava cake - Edit
The vegan choc cassava cake was tasty, dense and rich. It tasted a bit like banana cake but a more moist/cheesecake like texture.

Carrot pineapple cake 😍 - Edit
We tried the carrot pineapple cake at Halwa today and were pleasantly surprised. It looked pretty basic but it was moist and flavorful! Would definitely try their other vegan options if we found ourselves back in the area.

I loved the chocolate cassava cake. So luxurious. The coconut was big and plenty of water. Had a nice chat with Omar the owner from France a delightful person.

The cakes were really dissapointing.. I don't know if they had an off day or what the other reviewers ate but they were really not enjoyable to eat.
Read moreWe tried the banana chocolate and cassava chocolate and both had a very bad artificial flavor, the banana one was mushy and sugary and the cassava one was bland and plasticy.
Really sad because they're the only cake shop with vegan options in Kuta!
Pros: Paper takeaway box, Good portions

Read moreThey could easily charge more for them, given the quality is so high. I'd expect to find these in a fancy vegan French patisserie, not a little stall on the side of the road in Kuta Lombok! Definitely definitely buy these goodies.
