Tasty food, nice interior - Edit
Good separate vegan menu. Both got wet vegan burritos with tofu as our choice of ‘meat’. The plant based queso is made from tofu and doesn’t taste much like cheese but it was a tasty addition! Got large sizes which seemed normal, I reckon regular would be a bit small. Came with a selection of 3 different salsas which was nice. Would recommend although on the pricier side.

Maybe the best vegan food in Kuta - Edit
Separate vegan menu. Wet burrito with mushroom birria was super good. I got the regular size. There is also a large. They serve it with 3 salsas. All the salsas were vegan too. Best vibes as well. Great music and lighting. Of course, the food isn’t as good as in Mexico or the U.S. because of the lack of all the ingredients maybe, but it’s above what you would expect in Lombok, Indonesia. I think it’s really really good considering this!
Read moreOne note: the mushrooms were a bit undercooked and not roasted in the spices for long enough like they should be for maximum flavor. And even the spiciest salsa wasn’t spicy at all. But still, best food I’ve had in Lombok.

Burrito was ok, can see they add spice and flavour though salads are not wrapped and missed the point. Ask if they have vegan cheese available then the burrito will probably be good. If not the crispy mushroom tacos are always a a win!

It’s been a while since we had Mexican food and we were pleasantly surprised! It wasn’t too expensive for four tacos. Options include crispy mushrooms and jackfruit tinga which is way more exciting than just beans and rice!

Best vegan food in Kuta - Edit
I read many good reviews about that place but I didn't expect it to be that good for a mexican restaurant in Indonesia. I ordered the regular burrito in large and they really serve you a huge portion. The burrito filled with jackfruit, mind blowning vegan cheese, beans and delicious red rice. It left me stuffed and satisfied. The guacamole on the side tasted freshly made and was a great dip for the tortilla chips.

Mexican in Town has a cozy, modern atmosphere with somewhat cliche murals. I wasn’t expecting much from Indo attempts at Mexican, but was impressed with the tortilla chips and salsa.

Amazing jackfruit, but interesting buritto style - Edit
Jackfruit filling was incredible (seemed so much like chicken it was almost off-putting) but the buritto came with all the contents on the side and just rice, beans and jackfruit inside - would have preferred everything wrapped up together. The corn also had sour cream mixed in which wasn't on the menu, so vegans be careful of that one. Happy our cocktails are also well priced.

Read moreOn mondays they do 2 for 1 burritos which is a brilliant deal and they have a happy hour 5-7pm for 2 for 1 cocktails
The portion sizes are lil small but they do have a large burrito option which is similar to a normal sized burrito and the taste makes up for it
The filling can be jackfruit apparently but each time we got tempeh and were still really stoked
If you tell them vegan no cheese no dairy they usually adapt it just let them know no cream corn extra beans instead :)
The sauces/salsa on the side that they give you along your meal are definitely what makes this place so great
Make sure to sit inside as it’s a more relaxing environment with less bracelets kids coming to harass you to buy their goods
Also the tostadas are in my opinion the best things on the menu definitely get them!!!

we ordered the jackfruit burrito and asked for it to be vegan. it was really good and the flavours are really good! we also had the nachos on the side which were homemade and very good as well!

I ordered the big burrito and asked for it vegan. The waiter thought I meant vegetarian so I had to specify no cheese, and one of the sides still came with cheese.

Bursting with flavour. They do tempeh when they've run out of jackfruit. The tostadas are my favourite, then nachos (both gluten-free). Their sauces are very tasty.
