Vegetarisch - Edit
Ich habe keine vegane Option am Menü gesehen. Habe aber auch nicht extra nachgefragt und mich für das einzige vegetarische Set entschieden. Was sehr gut war.

Delicious and generous vegan option - Edit
Just one option on the menu, soy meat with rice and salad, but it was very delicious and filling. As another said, the serving is deceptively generous. 1,200 yen.

Tasty food - Edit
I loved that they had a clear vegan option, but I'm vegetarian and there were no more options but the vegan.

Excelent food and service! - Edit
The vegan option was wonderful! I really enjoyed the soy-meat rice bowl and salad. The vegetarian in my group was also able to eat their curry omelet. For the vegan menu just ask and they’ll bring it to you happily :)

One Vegan Option - must ask for separate menu - Edit
There is one vegan meal which the server happily showed me when I asked for it. It was very good - soy meat and rice as the main dish with a side salad. Very filling and reasonably priced.

Cozy meal - Edit
They have one vegetarian option, with soy meat, Rice and salad (there's also misoshiro but not vegetarian) that is not on the main menu, but available upon asking to the staff.

One good food item - Edit
When I ordered the soy meat, the waitress asked if I was vegetarian and kindly explained that the miso soup was made with fish stock. The rest was really good, I loved the raspberry soda.

Good vegan option - Edit
The vegan option is pretty good. The mayonnaise is delicious. Be very mindful that the miso soup that is served along with the dish has fish stock in it! Staff didn't seem to understand it wasn't vegan

Awesome vegan option - Edit
Vegan option comes with soy meat and vegan mayonaise, rice salad and miso soup, salad was really good and I am not nornally a fan of salad. Miso soup contains fish (cn taste it). Good portion for price and super tasty. Restaurant was full when we left so we were lucky we got there early, Highly recommend.

Hearty vegan option - Edit
My husband had the vegan dish - a good dish after visiting the Golden Temple (Kinkaku-ji). Unfortunately the miso the dish comes with contains fish stock. Comes with a nice salad as well.

Good food - Edit
Good soy meat plate. The miso soup seems to be fish based but could not confirm. Waited for 10 minutes to get a seat because it was crowded when we arrived but it went really fast

good soy meat meal - Edit
As other reviews have said, there’s one vegan option; the soy meat meal. There is also a wait if 10-20 minutes at peak lunch time. However, I found the food worth waiting for, it’s tasty and plentiful with some nice salad on the side.

Delicious and filling - Edit
Ordered: There was only one vegan option, so I ordered it. It was a soy meat lunch set that came with salad, rice, pickled veggies, and non-vegan miso soup.
Read moreThis place is popular, and Tripadvisor recommended (can't remember for what year though). I arrived a little into the lunch rush and needed to wait for about 10 minutes to get a seat. Not a problem at all but if you're planning to visit this place, be aware that it can get quite busy.
There is only one vegan option and the miso soup that comes with it is not vegan unfortunately. However, the rest of the set is and it is a damn good vegan option. The soy meat pieces are quite filling by themselves and go EXTREMELY well with the vegan mayo they squeezed over the salad. The pieces are a little salty from the soy sauce they've been fried in, a little tangy from the vegan mayo, and overall very satisfying. The other thing of note is that the portion sizes were generous and good value for money.
Pros: Good serving size , Easy to find - though there is no signage. Look on, the door for the name of the restaurant.
Cons: Miso soup was not vegan - a real shame. , Only one vegan option

big portion, decent price - Edit
Super close to the golden pavilion which was convenient. The soy meat, rice and salad was filling, but it does come with a miso which from what I understand is fish based. I didn’t want to risk it so I gave it to my boyfriend.

Only vegan options near Kinkakuji - Edit
When you leave Kinkakuji, go across the road then to the right for about 50 steps, you’ll find it next to the souvenir shop. Really good Frenc/Japanese fusion of soy meat rice bowl and some salads. Highly recommended!!
