Veggie Miso Ramen ♥️

Searched for a vegetarian ramen near the Golden Pavilion visit and this was close and open until 15.00 h

Arriving to a cozy place, looked the menu and they had 3 options for veggie ramen, also veggie gyosas and fried crispy soy meat...

If you need gluten free noodles, you can also request it :)

The customer service was excellent, the miso soup tasty and full of flavors, also a good portion :)

Thanks for your excellent cooking and such an amazing place

Pros: Veggie Miso Ramen , Veggie gyosas, Customer service

Great value for money

Two vegan ramen bowls, 5 pieces of Gyoza and 5 pieces of small soy chicken nuggets was about 2800¥ The food is tasty and if more flavour is desired multiple spices are available on the table.

Very good basic ramen

The ramen was very basic, just noodles and broth with a bit of veggies in top but it was really good! You can swap the egg noodles for rice noodles.

Worth the visit! Yum!

Lots of veg options to chose from. A great place to go with other omnis aswell. Its a little restaurant walking distance to the shrine. Swap the egg noodles for rice for vegan, which it says on the menu.

Pros: A few vegan options, Cheap

Great options for everyone

I went with my friends who are not vegetarian. They had plenty of options and there is a separate vegetarian menu. Ask for the rice noodles if your are vegan. I got the shoyu ramen and gyoza, and one of my friends got the fried soy which I tried. All of these were great! Great place to stop, it’s small and local with a really friendly chef!

Good but not the best

I had Miso Ramen with both Gyoza and soy meat as sides. The meat was fried and very very good, the gyoza were awesome as well. The ramen were good but I definitely had some better ones before. Somehow I felt like the ramen noodles had a subtle strange taste, maybe there was egg in them? However, they were clearly stated as vegan so idk...

Bonus points for free water (hot and cold) and green tea refills.

Pros: Several vegan options and sides , Loved the menu card design

Cons: Noodles had a subtle strange flavour

Decent spot to get your ramen and gyoza fix

The veggie ramen was good but the veggie gyoza was the best gyoza I have ever had in my life :')

Pros: Close to Kinkakuji, Reasonable pricing

Super authentic vegetarian ramen

I loved both this ramen and this cute little restaurant a lot. A lot of the time when you get vegetarian ramen, it’s tasty, but very different from regular ramen. This ramen felt very authentic which I was super happy to find! It’s really close to the temple, the owner was very friendly and we were served quickly. It’s also pretty cheap, ramen and veggie gyoza were ¥1100.

3 vegan/vegetarian options

I ordered the miso ramen (see photo). They were happy to take the egg out to make it vegan. Tasted excellent, very spicy.

Pros: Reasonably priced, Warm hosts

Simple & Tasty

Good chance to taste authentic Kyoto stile ramen. The menu offers a veg friendly version of the three main styles you'll find in most shops: miso ramen, soy sauce ramen and salt ramen, all for 650¥. It normally comes with half a boiled egg, but if you are vegan you can ask without.
I had the miso ramen and it was simple but full of flavour. The green onion was really fresh, it's a small thing but It suggests that the chef really cares about the quality.
The chef runs the shop completely on his own, and on his website he apologizes for delayed service, but he is actually pretty quick!

Pros: Convenient location, easy to find, English menu available, Cheap, free tea

Cons: Rice or noodle refill cost 200 yen
