Fast and super tasty - Edit
The food was served incredibly quickly which is great for a quick pit stop for food hall-style food. Everything we got was super tasty and the hot sauces were actually hot (and delish). I definitely enjoyed it and would swing back through!

I did not expect this location to be so fab! Super airy and clean amidst the craziness of the high line and WF. Great service and full menu!

Delicious treat when in the Hudson Yards area. - Edit
Needed lunch and went into the giant Whole Foods. Up on the second floor in a sunny corner in the back is Jajaja Mexicana. All vegan Mexican dishes! Order at the counter and grab a seat at the counter or in the nearby seating area; they will bring it out to you. I had the Enchiladas Mole. There were three very well-filled "pollo" enchiladas with a delicious mole sauce, and a big helping of Spanish Rice. There's a water dispenser and cups by the counter. It was a perfect lunch. There are apps, tacos, enchiladas, bowls, and desserts - everything I saw looked amazing. Great price for really tasty and filling dishes.

Oily - Edit
Popped in for some churros and a drink. The churros were very oily but the coconut dulce de leche was nice. It’s in a whole foods so no ambience.

Fabulous Mexican food - Edit
Great selection of Mexican food. I had the "egg" burrito while my partner had the chorizo one. Both were delicious and very filling. I will go back before we leave New York.

A little hard to find -- but totally worth it - Edit
I was next to Hudson Yards for a meeting, and saw that Jajaja Mexicana was right next door. And after reading the reviews here, I decided that it was worth giving it a try.
Read moreIt took me a while to find the counter, way at the back of the store. But there it was, with a super helpful and friendly person to guide me through what to get. I got beet/pumpkin empenadas, which were absolutely amazing, and tacos, which were "only" terrific. The portions were of a good size, and didn't have a fast-food feel at all.
Pros: Friendly, heplful staff

Don’t let the fast casual label fool you - the food was awesome - Edit
I had the Hijiki-Hearts of Palm Ceviche, the Chimichanga de Birrira, and the Coconut Leche Pie. All were super fresh and tasted fantastic, far exceeding what you might expect for food served on paper plates!

Excellent food - Edit
The lady helping us was super helpful. The menu has a lot of options and it was nice to not have to worry about non vegan items. We got the Tres Amigas. The guac, salsa and queso were very flavorful. I got the Enchiladas Verde. My husband got the Birria tacos. Both were tasty. There was plenty of seating. As others have said it's in Whole foods but there was plenty of room. Air conditioning was nice on this hot summer day. Some have said the prices are high but I think they were reasonable.

You have to visit this place if you are even a passive fan of Mexican food. I don’t think I need to say anything else. Get the nachos for certain and as much as everything else that your stomach can handle

Best Vegan Mexican I’ve EVER had - Edit
Succulent vegan beef birria tacos that I’ve been searching for for YEARS I have found in this establishment. Absolutely delectable, their chorizo burrito is also extremely tender and juicy. I couldn’t reccomend this place enough. Support this wonderful business and take your taste buds on an adventure!

Cute little restaurant inside Whole Foods with lovely staff. To echo other reviewers, the food was great but really expensive - I paid around $20 for the nachos without tax/gratuity 😭

I personally love the combination of a casual, curated atmosphere with high-quality food, which this location of Jajaja delivers.

Relish the tres amigas ("guacamole, queso, and sikil pak dip served with corn chips"),
The Huevo Burrito (""Eggs", mushrooms, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and chipotle aioli"),
and the Enchiladas Verde (Green tomato, serrano, palm carnitas, and coco queso served with Spanish rice).

Expensive but tasty and a nice space - Edit
With the caveat that other reviewers are 100% right about it being very pricey for small portions, this is an enjoyable little spot. Sikil pak is worth going for in itself and the house hot sauce lineup was also nice. Rice side that came with the enchiladas was a bit of a miss for me, but the enchiladas plus sikil pak was more than enough food for me, and the person working the bar (missed your name sorry!) was super sweet.
