Wow. Some of the best sushi we've ever had - Edit
Honestly, I thought it was a bit odd coming to a sushi restaurant in Costa Rica and I'm not the biggest fan of sushi but OMG the sushi here is unbelievable. Don't even think twice about coming here! We ordered a sushi boat with 3 rolls and 2 miso soups, which came to $32.50 with tax and service charge. You have 3 options for the sushi boat: 1) 3 rolls (10pcs per roll) of sushi and 2 nigiri, 2) 3 rolls and 2 miso soups or 3) 4 rolls. The crispy tofu (wife's fave), crispy onion (my fave) and the spicy tofu (also incredible). The miso soups were disappointing to be honest, more like flavoured water without any miso flavour so could be missed and gone for either nigiri or another roll when ordering the boat. Fantastic place and will deffo come again!

This sushi restaurant has a good selection of vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. It has a nice counter area where you can people/car watch as you eat.
Read moreWe had a Basil Lemonade, which had a lovely fresh basil flavour. To start we had Kimchi Gyoza/Dumplings, these had a nice crunch on the outside with a soft centre. For main we had the Sushi Boat which was well presented and something quite unique. All the sushi we had on the boat was really tasty and well prepared.
Recommended stop off for a light lunch when visiting La Fortuna.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal veganes Shusi gegessen, und es war toll. Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Spicy Edamame und zur Hauptspeise den veganen Spicy Tofu und die Fuji Rolls. Dazu gab es Sojasoße, Wasabi und Ingwer. Es war ein Geschmackserlebnis. Man sollte sich aber auf jeden Fall 2 Sachen teilen/bestellen, da es sonst zu viel von einer Sorte ist. Die Bedienung war super nett. Hat uns noch vegane Tipps für die Weiterreise gegeben. Es gibt einen schönen Außenbereich, also wirklich zu empfehlen.

Had the spicy edamame and the Fuji sushi roll. Both amazing. The Fuji roll came with 10 pieces so was large and filling. Definitely try this place when in La Fortuna.

Sushi boat nr. 3 includes 4 rolls.
We chose nr. 4 and got Pachamama, grasshopper, crispy onion (my bf's favorite) and spicy tofu (my favorite).
Taste was great and it's a huge portion! We almost couldn't finish!

What a gem! The Sushi boat was phenomenal. We enjoyed each flavor that we ordered on it. Crunchy onion was our #1. Would also recommend the spicy tofu. May need to go back for more before we leave La Fortuna.

Great recommendation getting the sushi boat. As of April 2024 it was $30. Boat 2 has 30 pieces (choose from 3 out of 6/7 veggie options) with two miso soups. The rolls were great as was the miso soup. Our son also had the Vegetarian miso ramen which he enjoyed.

Wow! Go here. Our server was super friendly and helpful. The vegan sushi was so delicious. Definitely some of the best vegan sushi I've had. We were a group of 8 and we got three sushi boats plus a few individual rolls and wine... it was a great dinner.

Egan Sushi boat is a great deal at $28USD. All the sushi we had was fantastic. Also ordered a vegan bowl. Very friendly and helpful. Gluten free options as well and gluten free soy sauce.
