Mein Freund hat das Pad Thai (vegetarisch) und ich die Reisnudeln in Thai-Curry und Erndusssoße (vegan). Mein Freund hat beides probiert und meinte das Reisnudelgericht ist definitiv der Gewinner. Ich habe Tofu als Zusatz bestellt und mit dem vielen Gemüse drin war es so geschmacksreich. Außerdem haben wir das Essen so schnell gekriegt, obwohl der Restaurant wirklich gefüllt war. Würde definitiv wiederkommen.

Many labeled vegan options made it easier for us to choose our food. We loved everything, from the udons to the thai curry, from the spring rolls to the lychee tea! Portions were big and filling.

weiß nicht was man erwartet, kette, immer voll, große portionen. hat aber nichts mit guter küche zu tun und schmecke keinen großen unterschied zwischen den einzelnen gerichten. also eher take away fast food level als restaurant.

We came across this restaurant when we were hungry and decided to try it because the menu looked great, but we were quite disappointed.
Read moreThere are many vegan options and we ordered the glass noodles with veggies, the tofu with veggies and fried rolls each. Unfortunately, we only got the fried rolls once, but by then we had already started with the mains and noticed that we didn‘t like them too much, so we did not correct the order.
While the veggies were ok, the tofu was very tasteless and the sauces tasted ready-made, cold and straight from the bottle. The fried rolls were too greasy and tasteless as well. The meals did not taste fresh at all and were rather like fast food.
Moreover, service was not very friendly.
The location is good and the prices are a little cheaper than elsewhere, but with so many amazing Asian restaurants all over Cologne, we will not bother with this one again.

Das Essen schmeckt mir sehr gut und es gibt mehrere vegane Optionen. Die Currys sind sehr gut. Kann außerdem die Udonnudeln empfehlen. Die Atmosphäre ist leider nicht so gut.

Wirklich vegan? - Edit
Ehrlich gesagt bin ich mir nicht sicher ob die mit Kokosmilch gekochten gerichte nicht doch auch Sahne enthalten. Bei meiner Nachfrage wurde das verneint aber ich bin jetztso lange vegan und kenne den Geschmack von Kokosmilch sehr gut. Auf jeden Fall nachfragen ob das Gericht Fischsosse enthält. Null Atmosphäre und schlechte Musikauswahl. Es gibt viel bessere Alternativen in der Stadt. Eher was für Touristen.

We visited Cologne for the Christmas markets, but after flying from the UK, then getting a train to the City by the time we’d arrived it was 22:00 on a Sunday night and most restaurants were closed.

I’m not going to lie, when we arrived I nearly didn’t go in - it’s decor was more bar-like and it was playing some terrible (and pretty loud) house music. It was a little offputting.
But we were starving and decided to grab a table regardless, and I’m so glad we did.
The food was so good. Freshly cooked, tasty and HUGE portion sizes. 4/6 of us in the group were vegetarian and there were loads of great vegan and vege options.
The only downside to the experience was that nobody greeted us when we walked in to the place. There was no acknowledgment from the staff whatsoever, and the staff just stood talking behind the bar. (We actually thought they might be closed) it wasn’t until my Girlfriend approached them and asked if we could get a table that they showed any interest in us. It was a bad start to the meal.
The service from then on was pretty good though I must admit.
But anyway, in the end everyone in our party left full, content and in agreement that we’d found a little gem. If you love Thai food I’d highly recommend this place.

The best Thai in Cologne - Edit
Only one vegan starter on offer, however, there's quite a few vegan main dishes to choose from. The portion is huge and the service is lightning fast (I usually get my dish in 3 to 5 minutes from ordering), so there's no need to go for the starter anyway. All the vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu. My favourite one is the one with the peanut sauce, but the curries are also very nice. It's the best place to get Thai in Cologne, with 3 locations to choose from.
