The soup and salad are amazing - Edit
The soup was pretty good. And the pest Salad was amazing. I didn’t like the “fish”. The rice and beans that comes with the fish was also nice

Great find - Edit
100% vegan, great service and delicious food. My husband and I tried the croquettes and cauliflower wings, both were very good. Would have liked a more creative dipping sauce- they served barbecue sauce and duck sauce. I got special tacos, they were beans and guacamole topped with vegan cheese with a side salad and salsa. I loved it.

One of the best vegan restaurants we went so far - Edit
I highly recommend the starters - the croquettes were just awesome. The bruschetta was nearly as good.
Read moreThe main courses (we had the happy octopus and the seitan steak) were also very good, the mustard sauce coming with the steak was the highlight here. Though, complaining on a very high level, I would have expected, that the false egg tastes a bit more like egg (use more kala namak) since it was also tried to really look like an egg. Same for the octopus (made from mushrooms), which had no fishy flavor (easily done by adding some algae). Though, again, these complaints are on a very high level. The food overall was awesome. For dessert we had the oreo mousse and the Snickers tarte. Both were just awesome!
Overall in this restaurant they obviously have a very great chef who has additionally an eye for great decoration. Since many vegan restaurants sadly work on a snack bar niveau, this is an even greater plus :)
Additionally the service was on a very high level. Very friendly, fast, good English. And the price was not high!
Pros: Very tasty food, Very good service, Nicely decorated food

Awesome Portuguese food VEGAN style!! - Edit
Lovely little place with a big heart and friendly staff!
Read moreLove the fact they’re trying to keep to a mainly traditional menu. (which cannot be easy for a meat loving seafood nation). I had the francesinha “meat” sandwich wrapped in cheese and drenched in a tomato and beer gravy!! ( if I suggested this to anybody; I’d be locked away or told to “go away you crazy drunk”) it’s a twist on the French sandwich croque monsieur I do believe… It also gets served with French fries. I’m assuming to mop up all that tomato and beer sauce!! It was interesting to say the least..
The fact these guys are trying to veganize local food is my reasoning for the full 5 ⭐️ 🌱❤️ Good work Kong 🦍
Pros: All vegan , Great staff, Some unique dishes for us vegans to try..
Cons: Not what I can see!

OMG - Edit
I am SO happy we ate at kong and managed to try some of Lisbon staple dishes but veganised. The service was friendly and helpful. Everything is vegan so order whatever you want. I have to recommend the snickers pie at the end for dessert..it was so good we bought a second piece to eat at the hotel later on.

Great weekday lunch or traditional food - Edit
Their weekday lunch menu is €9.50. I came when it was cauliflower wings, Brazilian bean stew, and Oreo mousse, and it was delicious. I had to take the mousse to go! I came back to try a traditional Portuguese dish, Francesinha for €12.50, and had leftovers. The food is great and the staff are nice.

If you want to try veganised traditional Portugese food, this is the place to go. I tried Francesinha, but there are other great options on the menu. Francesinha was delicious, however a bit too salty for my taste. Would recommend anyway.
