Conveniently located and great food, some traditional local dishes made vegan and some standbys like a burger. The waiter was very friendly, spoke good English which was a real help and service was fast.

Great experience! Sat right away and got prompt service (which was rare for us at other Lisbon places). All vegan menu with traditional portuguese food options and some other standard options. Got the “octopus” and fish— oyster mushroom and tofu. Salty and good. Didn’t get a chance to try desserts but there were a lot and they looked good.

Read moreKong serves some of the most famous (and meat based) dishes in vegan interpretations, what is just awesome. So it's possible to have a "Oktopus" or "fish" dish or even the portugese francesinha as a vegan.
I give 5 stars for the concept and the service and 4 stars for the taste.

Best vegan restaurant in Lisbon - Edit
So, during our time in Lisbon we visited many exclusively vegan restaurants (all 5/5 stars) and to choose the best amongst them is almost mission impossible. Now, if I really had to choose, it would be Kong😄All from the food, the way they veganise traditional meals, the great personnel, ambient and place decoration, location, and unforgettable happy octopus was absolutely perfect. We had amazing food and lovely time there. We also chatted a bit with the chef and he was very cool and we even ended up tasting some of the new cheese he was working on which was great😄If I come back to Lisbon, Kong will definitely be my first stop :D

If you're vegan and want a taste of the local dishes, this is the place! I've had fish and chips, octopus, steak and fried egg, everything was done right up to the presentation, texture and smell. I can't recommend this place enough. Plus, it's very affordable.
