Kitchen is run by renowned Chef Ricardo Vitali. Serves mainly traditional Portuguese food. Everything is house-made, including breads, "cheeses" and ice-creams. We had the nicest experience at Kong - so we went back a second time. Both meals were incredibly delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend. we spent ~ 40€ for shared appetizer, 2 main courses and 2 desserts drinks. (Try the chocolate cake!)

Read moreThe minute you walk in your greeted by friendly, amazing staff who make you feel right at home. The service was fantastic during my whole time I was in the restaurant. They also have a lovely atmosphere with tasteful decor.
I started off with an Apple Cider and the Spicy Cheese Dumplings. Both were great! They serve the apple cider with freshly diced apples in the glass and a slice of lemon - nice touch and it did great adding just that bit more flavour! The Spicy Cheese Dumplings were delicious! Crispy & crunchy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. Really lovely flavours. If your looking for some comfort food then order these!
For the main course I tried the Kong burger with bacon and the beyond burger patty. Loved it!! It came with just the right toppings and a good portion of them as well. The bacon was a nice touch and gave it a gentle smoky flavour. Well balanced burger. It also came with fries and to my surprise they were not only freshly cut but they were also nice and thin! Very tasty and cooked just perfect!
For desert I ordered the chocolate cake and wow....this was one of the best I’ve ever had! Not only is the cake perfectly baked with delicious nuts but they put this warm chocolate sauce on top which was crazy good - fantastic balance!! I couldn’t help myself and I also ordered the tapioca cake for take away which I have not eaten yet but I can’t wait to try it - it looks just as good as the chocolate cake.
If you’ve never eaten here or are just browsing - definitely come here! The food, the service and the atmosphere is amazing!

The roasted mushrooms filled with bacon and cheese are the best starter i ever had. The ''fish'' is unbelievable. It tastes like real fish. Very friendly and present staff and the music selection is of very good taste. Congrats to the team of making this one of the best vegan restaurants in lisbon.

Great place, the best vegan hot chocolate (made according to the costumer's taste), amazing food and a kind staff. We tried 2 starters: "cheese balls" and "seitan nuggets", the first was very good, the second not so much because the seitan was kinda bland (even though the crispness was on point). The "francesinha" and the "eggplant canelone" were both delicious.

We had burger and chickpea curry and we liked it a lot. Curry was a bit too spicy for my taste. The portions were big. Staff was friendly and the service was fast. It is not a big place so you might consider booking in advance or coming early.

My favourite vegan meal in Lisbon was here. The server was very friendly and we loved meeting the little pup that she had just rescued. We had the eggplant cannelloni and the Portuguese spinach sausage.

I had the Francesinha as it was recommended by others here. It was quite filling a huge portion that came with chips. It was basically a sandwich of seitan steak, sausage, tofu, white bread topped with cheese. All soaked and surrounded by a tomatoey sause.

There is an issue of fruit flies on the ceiling, curtains and walls which I feel is a hygiene issue.

Kong is one of the most amazing vegan restaurants in Lisbon. Maybe the best if you want vegan versions of Portuguese traditional food. The nuggets and the fish ‘n ships are just amazing, as well as the seitan “beef”.
