As a falafel lover, I had wanted to try Kuumba Du Falafel, but never found myself in the area. One day, I accidentally walked by it, and I decided to pop in and give it a try. Great falafel, well cooked and full of flavor, The vegetable selection for the pita was excellent as well!

Read moreKuumba is a bit out of the way in the Shibuya area, but worth a slight detour for a solid lunch/dinner. When my partner and I went, we got a full falafel sandwich and plate, respectively. Both items were so much bigger than we expected, and even much bigger than normal japanese meal portions elsewhere.
As for ingredients, everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The plate and sandwich essentially had the same mix, a ton of green leaf lettuce, hummus, tahini, cucumbers, tomato, and eggplant. One of the staff members also brought over a delicious hot sauce.
Looking forward to getting back here next time I'm in Tokyo.

The place was walking distance away from the shopping area so it was a great place for a quick lunch break. It was a little crowded and we were only able to get a seat because we were three people, so it may be difficult for larger groups. The food was delicious (especially the hot sauce with the pita!) and the price was only 1000 for a soup and half pita set.
