Delicious, clearly labeled - Edit
Got the Colombian vegan empanada, the Peruvian one, and the salted plantains. It was delicious and very filling! Getting a vegan raspberry desert empanada on my way out, I’m so excited - definitely would come back if I’m in the area again!

i got the tuca tuca (pretty sure that was the name) my boyfriend got ceviche so ignore that haha but this was the BEST food i have ever had eating out. this was a bean/rice mixture lightly fried w/ veggies. we also got the sweet and salty plantains. SO good. flavor in this is incredible, and perfect sauted veggies. we were both so impressed. and i got an empanada but forgot a picture of that. it was also incredible and super crunchy. atmosphere is relaxing and airy almost, sun comes through the windows really pretty. i paid $17 ( $2 with tofu) and im easily getting 3 meals out of this. drinks were good too(:

Excellent Vegan choices - Edit
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. There is a Vegan menu for meals and often there are Vegan choices for their delicious desserts. The Tacu Tacu is a beans/rice dish with excellent/interesting flavor with lots of minimally sautéed veggies on top. I rarely can eat it all in one sitting. This is one of Monona’s best restaurants.

There is a separate vegan menu and the staff are knowledgeable. Great service. There is often a long wait but good but everything g is made fresh and made to order. It’s worth the wait.
