Fantastic Indian food - Edit
What a little gem of a restaurant. Tucked away down a back street, but worth seeking out. This unassuming little restaurant served some of the best vegan and vegetarian Indian food I have had.
Read moreMy son who is vegetarian had a paneer dish which he said was amazing. My wife and I had chaap and corn and mushroom dishes, which were some of the best we've had.
We were incredibly well looked after by Falik, who ensured we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back next time we are in London
Pros: Great food, Great service

Fantastic! - Edit
So so good. At least half the menu is vegan, including the all important vegan yoghurt! The flat bell puri starter we had was exceptional. The dahls, rice and chips were also really nice. I will definitely be returning.

Große Portionen - Edit
Die Gerichte sind vegan gelabelt oder haben den Vermerk, dass sie entsprechend vegan zubereitet werden können.

Food was nice, but the stuff wasn't great and the toilets looked dirty (very dusty toilets seats and the sink). I appreciate the amount od vegan options though.

Tasty food - Edit
It's a pity that diary products are offered. However, almost all dishes are available as vegan version. During our visit, the staff was very kind and the food very tasty.

Good, not great - Edit
The food was pretty good, though not everything was a winner for me. The vegan Mango Lassi's were quite excellent and so was the Naan bread. They did have a lot of options, also for vegan, so that is a plus.
Read moreI thought the music playlist was a bit random when we were there (a mix of western pop music) and I didn't enjoy the aroma diffuser.
Pros: Lots of options, Delicious Naan bread and Mango Lassi's (vegan!)
Cons: Didn't enjoy the music, Didn't enjoy all the food

Tasty food in Holborn - Edit
Suggested by a non-vegan as a place that makes really nice food I was very curious to find out a bit more about this place. First of all, it is a bit tucked away and surrounded by housiing estates so a bit difficult to find. One of these places you would never be able find without the googgle maps. The place itself stroke me as in need of a renowation but the food did not dissapoint me at all. It is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant with a lot of plant-based options. Was not too busy for Sunday evening. Really enjoy their version of Masaman curry.

Great food - Edit
Enjoyed the food there, although we did find it a bit too spicy for our taste (but it was great nonetheless). Restaurant seems very popular so felt a little crammed but service was good. Very extensive menu with a decent range of vegan options. The cauliflower starter was especially tasty! Overall a nice experience.

Generous but taste not overwhelming - Edit
Very lovely staff and in a nice corner of London with not a lot else around (we'd popped by to see that cool calligraphy on Northington Street, which is very close). It felt like solid home-cooked type of food but nothing amazing, flavourwise.

Delicious - Edit
Our food was delicious and very very fast… in fact so fast that there wasn’t really time to settle in and make an evening of it. It’s a quirky little spot, good service. I had the palak tofu, a very good vegan dish. Lots of options, well spiced!

Best chaat dishes in London - Edit
Excellent value for money at this hidden away restaurant. This has quickly become my favourite Indian vegetarian restaurant in London (after having tried many). The chaat dishes are particularly good, and these are not often seen on the menu at many Indian restaurants. The main dishes are great too.

Food Ok, poor service - Edit
A group of 6 of us went there on a Monday evening, as it had good reviews.
Read moreIt's located in a side road, and first impression was the dated decor.
They have an extensive menu and many items are listed as vegan, or can be made vegan.
We had the option of sitting on the ground floor near the entrance (which was overly warm) or downstairs (which was very cold as there was no heating) so we chose the ground floor.
The restaurant was quite busy.
They serve alcohol. On the menu there is Cobra Beer 1/2 pint, 1 pint, and by the bottle. Buy the bottle as it works out much cheaper than the draft beer.
Be aware that on the menu there's poppadums mentioned in two places. £1 for 1. Or pay £3.50 for two if you want some chutney with it. They'll bring you the more expensive one unless you specify.
I had punjabi samosas for starter. They were ok but I've had better elsewhere.
One of our group order the bhel poori, but it didn't arrive until everyone else had finished their starters, but he did say it tasted very nice.
For mains I had the tofu Massaman curry. Basically it consisted of big slabs of tofu with some potato in a green sauce. Unfortunately my curry was lukewarm when it arrived, but it tasted ok. Spice wise it was very mild and suitable to my palate. I had to order a portion of rice separately, and the portion of rice was larger than I actually needed.
My partner ordered the vegan thali £17. We told the waiter we were vegan when we ordered and the vegan thali is specifically mentioned on the menu. When it arrived it seemed to have dairy raita as well as a non-vegan dessert. We asked the waiter if it was vegan and he said yes, then he reconsidered and took the dessert away to be replaced. He didn't seem to be aware that the raita wasn't vegan. I checked with another staff member who said that the raita they brought her wasn't vegan and they would replace that also.
Another staff member said they would replace the raita with a vegan version, which they did.
There seemed to be only one waiter for most of the time, and he seemed to spend his time with earphones in and looking at his phone!
Overall the food was ok, the service not that great. There are many Indian vegetarian restaurants in London and some with nicer decor and better food.
Pros: Many vegan options on the menu, Located near Holborn /Russell square, Moderately priced
Cons: Getting non-vegan item when we ordered vegan food, The service, The decor is a bit dated

Tasty Indian Food! - Edit
Loved the tikka soy starter! Curries had a lot of delicious flavour. Staff were friendly and it seemed like a popular spot for locals. Only thing was the curries were a little small — had more rice than sauce.

I was amazed - Edit
I have a south Indian origin, and after relocating to Holborn, I always craved my favorite idli sambar. After visiting Namaste Holborn, I was amazed by the authentic taste of their I dlis. Also, other vegan delicacies are worth tasting. Here you can get more than a thousand vegan flavours all in one place. I would recommend this restaurant to all vegan lovers.

Best Indian I've had so far! - Edit
Looks small and unimpressive from the outside, hidden in a side road, but they have plenty of space, a great menu, friendly staff and the food tastes amazing. A lot of dishes are vegan and many can be made vegan as well. I had a vegan tandoori and the best naan ever. I'd highly recommend their Chaat, it's awesome! I'll be back 😍
