Great food - Edit
I think the place is great in general - the food is very tasty, there is a good variety, water is free and you can drink as much as you want to, the place is very cosy. I thought the food was a little cold and pricey, but not very absurd considering Oslo standards.

Meals are pre-prepared, they have a selection of main meals or sides or you can get a "combo" which is what we did. You can mix and match different sides and toppings or just go with what they recommend. I had the Thai yellow curry which came with a side of rice and topping of cashews. My boyfriend had the enchilada with a side of couscous salad and tzatziki, the guy also added extra fried mushrooms as he said the enchilada portions were smaller than usual, so that was nice.
Read moreTo be honest I wasn't that excited about the yellow curry, it could've had more flavour and some of the vegetables were in huge chunks that were verging on raw and difficult to cut into. Also the curry was barely lukewarm when I received it, so it was cold halfway through eating.
My boyfriend's enchilada meal was delicious though, wished I had've ordered that instead.
Pros: They plant a tree for every meal purchased!, Good variety of food, Friendly staff
Cons: Pricy, Meal temperature not great

My partner and I were planning to have lunch at another place nearby however it ended up being closed. We found Nordvegan instead and so glad we did! Entirely vegan place with lots of options for food including warm and hearty curry, lasagne, veggies plus lots of options for salad. It is definitely tasty and filling food and nice to have so many options! The place has a nice vibe about it, very comfortable and chill. Staff were lovely as well, would happily recommend!

Great vegan option in central oslo - Edit
I ate here twice while in Oslo. The first meal, the stuffed aubergine with fried oyster mushrooms (daily special) was excellent. The second meal, the Thai curry, was very good but didn’t quite meet my expectations from the previous meal. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very good! - Edit
My first day in Norway and first meal was here at Nordvegan(love the name!!). I had the Buddha bowl and my mom had the lasagna. The Buddha bowl was quite good and very big! I couldn’t finish it. I wish they would cut their veggies a little smaller because it was tough to eat at times. Flavor was yummy, though. My mom isn’t a vegan and was only okay with the lasagna. I tasted it and really thought it was good. Omni taste buds as different than ours. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed our experience.

Cons: Veggies need to be cut smaller, Omni’s may not live it as much as vegans , A bit expensive

Great find in central Oslo - Edit
Really good food, informal atmosphere and a choice of vegetarian & vegan food in a city that’s not particularly veggie friendly. More of a cafe than a restaurant but delicious curries etc. You choose at the counter and food is dished out then & there. Norway needs a few more places like this.

Really an all round great place. Probably some of the best vegan food in Oslo. Atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are warm and welcoming. Highly recommend, and a place many of our non vegan friends also really like, so a great place to bring people who might be new to plant based dining.

Just Okay - Edit
The two times I've visited Nordvegan, there have been a lot of people inside, but with some seating still available. It's set up as a choose your own food station, where the person behind the counter grabs a plate and loads up whatever you want to eat on there as you point to the food through a glass barrier. The food doesn't exactly scream delicious at first sight, and it doesn't exactly taste amazing. The lasagne was drenched in fake cheese, the enchilada was dry rice and beans, the spring rolls were soggy, and the noodles were super spicy when I tried them one day, then very mild the next. Overall, the food wasn't great and I wouldn't really return. However, it is good for a quick bite, as it's right next to a hotel.

The best vegan place in Oslo - Edit
This is by far the best vegan place in Oslo to this date. I`ve been to all of the "all vegan" cafes in Oslo and Nordvegan has stood out the most. Both with respect to the quality of the food and the variety offered.
