The drinks!! - Edit
This place lives up to the hype! We had the strawberry latte (10/10) almond latte (10/10) mocha croissant, black sesame croissant and peanut cream croffle. Everything was so delicious, the cream is so light and not too sweet. The croissant on its own is nothing special but with the cream😮💨 so good!

Don’t go early but tasty - Edit
Doesn’t have anything if you get there before 1pm. But the taste is good when it is ready. If early just go for coffee and tea it’s fine. The snacks are really good as well.

'twas just alright - Edit
Maybe it was just not a good day during my visit because all the pour-over coffees were gone as well as the decaf one. Seating is mostly on the second floor which is only accessible via steep stairs. It's not a problem for me, but I can see how it can be problematic for people with physical disability. We bought a couple of snack packages and they were alright.

Cons: Most seatings are on 2nd fl with steep stairs, Many items were sold out

Excellent croissants and croffles - Edit
I tried a matcha croissant and a peanut cream croffle and both were amazing. The croffle (croissant pressed as a waffle) was definitely the star. Great place to fuel up before exploring the nearby palace.

lovely experience - Edit
We passed by this cafe on our way from the palace to the hanbok village, and we were happy to find somewhere to sit down. They have postcards that you can buy to mail yourself in the future, which was a fun experience. They also have a very cute space where you can rest on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the cafe. The drink offerings are somewhat limited if you do not drink caffeine. I had the elderberry soda, which was okay. I think maybe next time if I ever went back I'd try the strawberry latte.

Cozy place - Edit
I like how open the space felt upstairs and how tasty all the drinks and desserts were! There are so many good vegan restaurants nearby including By Tofu, so it would be a good idea to come have drinks or desserts here after lunch :)

Very nice experience - Edit
I went here with my now boyfriend (yay) and we wrote letters to each other. For me, it was quite the emotional experience. We had a great time with each other, writing down things for the other to read next year. The drinks and food was also very good.
Read moreIt's a great idea for a date, if you know each other already for a while, or also for a date with yourself or just a fun experience with your friends. I highly recomend going to one of their branches.
We went rather late, so some of the popular food options were already sold out, but the things we ordered were very good as well! It might take a while till you get your order, as there was just one person working when we were there.
Pros: Lovely concept, Great drinks and food

Good afternoon-snack - Edit
I don't know what is in the whipped cream they use but I loved it. I wasn't a fan of the chunks in the strawberry shake but still tasted good and the matcha one was good as well.

Not for me... - Edit
Just the standard scones, cookies and cakes in cups that so many other small vegan bakeries make. Taste was average. The place is very trendy for some reason. Crowded with a chaotic feel. They were packed when I was there so are obviously doing something right, but not for me.

Dessert combined with writing letters - Edit
Here's another vegan cafe of Nuldam, a company which produces various desserts and has been operating online for years. This branch follows the same concept as the one near Gyeongbok Palace: Simple design, letter activities, all vegan drinks and desserts. The menu seems to change a little bit over time.
Read morePrices for desserts range between 3500 KRW (cookies, scones) and 7500 KRW (cakes, brownies). Drinks are priced between 5000 and 7000 KRW. Their prices don't seem to be that high in comparison to other vegan cafes. Cookies and scones are served slightly warmed up. The current cakes come in little non-plastic containers.
Personally, I did not like the taste of their desserts that much. The bottle cake was soggy and liquid gathered at the bottom... The americano didn't taste good at all.
It's a little hike up the slopy roads of Haebangchon to get to this cafe, which is located in a corner building. The cafe occupies 3 floors (including an outdoor roof top). The counter and seal-your-letter area are on the first floor. For additional seating, one needs to go up a narrow staircase, which is behind another door outside. The cafe was surprisingly full, their main customers being young women and couples.
Pros: interesting space, comparably low price
Cons: did not like the taste of cake or coffee at all, some seating is uncomfortable
