Delicious

We were very lucky to find a table for 6 without reservation and they were so kind when taking our order. There’s plenty of vegan options. I recommend ordering about 2 plates per person as the dishes do not come with any sides. Loved mixing the broccoli with the fried soft noodles. The salt and pepper tofu was amazing, it was really good with steamed jasmine rice.

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: A little bit expensive, Drinks menu not labelled - unsure what wasn’t veg

Delicious food and fantastic service!

Loved this! Great atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Our water was constantly filled up and all the staff were very pleasant. Menu items were clearly labelled vegan which is always helpful!

We booked ahead for 2 people on a Saturday night and glad we did as it was pretty busy.

Pros: Clearly labelled vegan options , Tasty food , Great service

Cons: Not really a con but was quite busy so would book

Stylish Asian Fusion

A little on the fancier (expensive) side, Opium has a range of vegan options, including sides, mains, and dim sum. The menu is clearly marked for vegan dishes and allergens.

Dim sum are around £5 per plate and include tofu, spring rolls, and dumplings. Mains are a little more reminiscent of British Chinese food but are tasty nonetheless.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but can get busy so it's best to book, by phone or social media. The service is very friendly but can be a little too efficient with plates whisked away just as you finish.

Expensive but fairly original

The service is good, and though they're a bit more pricey than I'd prefer, they do have lots of marked vegan options and some dishes a bit different to what you'd get elsewhere. Lovely cocktails and mocktails. Not much in the way of vegan desserts, I didn't get one but I think the banana fritter was marked vegan.

Excellent tasting menu

Beautiful 5 course tasting menu, all vegan and we enjoyed doing it as a cook at home experience during the pandemic. Food was delicious, lots we had not tried before so was nice to have something different. Staff were lovely when we collected the food, look forward to eating in the restaurant itself.
