Joe Strummer from The Clash used to come here - Edit
This restaurant is over 30 years old, but recently added to Happy Cow. Very friendly and nice vibes and we were able to sit and chat with the owner, an Ethiopian academic and music lover, during our entire stay. He even made me an almond banana smoothie on the house.
Read moreLots of Jamaican and internatinal artists have come here through the years, and the legend that is Joe Strummer used to come here for Ethiopian veg food every year. He had his own corner and the owner remembers and misses him alot. Next time Im going to sit at the "Joe Strummer table".
Alot of Ethipioan food is vegan by default, so there is plenty of vegan options here. The injeras are huge and the small curries are amazing.
We met some amazong Ethipioan and Eritrean people that introduced us to their culture and music. This one guy told me about his vegan granma that lived to 120 years young thanks to a plant based diet.
