Reformhaus Bacher

Glad to have this option in the train station, especially during Christmas hours. The vegan selection is OK. Oddly enough, I purchased Rapunzel peanut butter here … but it was so delicious compared to other peanut butters I’ve purchased in Germany.

cool thing

clearly labelled vegan options, even the bread. unfortunately, mostly all vegan baked foods where sold out (~6pm) but i guess it only shows they are good?

Very limited vegan options

Seems like a roll of the dice what they have when you visit. Other reviews here mention a good number of baked vegan options, and the photos show nice stuff too, but when we went there was a single vegan option and it didn't look that good.
The other bakeries here, including ones not listed on HappyCow, had a better vegan offering! Very disappointing. They had some vegan yoghurt, chocolate and cheese for sale which is great, but we were wanting something from the bakery really. Maybe 15 baked products for sale and only one was vegan? Can't give a good rating for that, which is a pity.

Clearly marked vegan options

It was a long time ago i last could eat a ‘pizzabroodje’. Nice to have that option on the station. They also have pieces of cake.

Oasis in the Train Station

Great place to have a vegan croissant or other vegan baked goods in the morning. Since they're open until 22h00, this is the place to go after-hours and Sundays with their nice selection of vegan cheese/meat/yoghurt/milk products and other vegan necessities such as multiple brands of nutritional yeasts, tapioca flour or other health supplies

Pros: Friendly staff

great shop

I was there several times when passing through Cologne by train. Great opportunity to shop on the way. Nice staff, lots of glutenfree products, just no fresh fruit or vegetable. For being placed in main station the prices seem rather low for me.

Pros: prices are ok, nice staff, in main station

Cons: no fresh fruit & vegetable

Small shop with a big range!!

At first the store seems like there wouldn't be much in but the vegan range is huge!
The front of the store has some tasty vegan options too!

Pros: Tons of vegan foods

Nice selection

I expected this to be really small but was surprised by the big selection of products. Especially many mock meats and tofu etc.
They also have some vegan pastries, mostly "streusels" in the flavors apple, apricot and cherry.

Good place to get groceries

Health food store at the central station. I was hoping to find a premade sandwich or something like that, but unfortunately the closest thing was the bakery items, which when I arrived around 8pm mostly consisted of just different breads, no cakes or anything like that.
There was a section with vegan yoghurt and milk, and also a bunch of hygiene products.

Bio / fair trade / ecological food store

This is a full bio / eco / fair trade supermarket with lotsa veg*n stuff: marmelades / jams, pickled / bottled fruit, spreads for bread, many types of bread (see images), spinach quiche-type takeaway, noodles, canned food, basically a whole supermarket & bakery (not an eatery).

Cake is German old school 'biological', i.e., it 'tastes' healthy (i like that).

Pros: Bio / eco supermarket & bakery, open every day (central train station), friendly staff

Vegan products on the central station!

Nice to have a health store with vegan snacks on the station! They also sell vegan cheese, Tartex and other vegan products. The vegan options are clearly recognizable. The spinach roll was tasty. I also bought a cherry cake but that tasted more like bread. Fine products to buy when you're in a hurry but it tastes a little bit too healthy for me.

Pros: On the station, several vegan products

Cons: snacks taste a little bit too healthy
