Try the raspberry/strawberry cheesecake!

This place is cute and has some vegan pastries: raspberry/strawberry cheesecake (sooo good!), apple pie (lacks a bit of flavour and smoothness), carrot cake (nice), tiramisu (strong coffee taste) and several brownies (too bitter and heavy for me).

Kind staff and great coffee

I had an oat cappuccino and it was delicious. Also got a piece of their almond dessert to try

Some delicious baked stuff 🧁

Rose & Vanilla has some delicious vegan cakes - always gluten-free, milk free and refined sugar free! They also don’t use soy, palm oil or any weird colorings - plus they’re organic 🌱 Therefore their tarts are also rather expensive, but they’re so delicious! My favorite is the apple pie, it’s so juicy, fruity and not too sweet. Their vegan cheesecake is also very tasty, but very heavy - due to the fact it’s coconut oil based.
My only negative point: the use of eggs in some of their baked goods. Could probably be replaced rather easy.

Pros: Many delicious vegan pies & mini cakes , Great and quiet location

Cons: Eggs in some of the baked good

The coffee here is good and they have a variety of vegan pastries. I like the tiramisu especially. However, i think the cakes are small and overpriced. In my opinion there are better spots in Utrecht to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with something sweet.

Pros: Variety of options, Good coffee

Cons: Overpriced, Small pastries , Tiny seating area

Almost everything was vegan except for cheesecakes. We had a coffee brownie and a carrot cake, both were really good and tasty! The girl in the shop was very nice and she told us they’re planning to have a vegan cheesecake as well

Lovely little coffee/cake place

It's a small cafe that caters to the vegan niche. I loved the vegan cheese cake and the coffee was delicious! They offer all options - soya milk, lactose-free milk, oat etc. You can also buy yummy frozen vegan cakes for take away.

Pros: Lots of vegan cake options , Nice sitting area outside

Cons: A bit small (6-10ppl max)

First pie was amazing, second really disappointing.

We were really impressed when we eat the carrot cake a few months ago. Hands down the best vegan one we had so far. Last week we came back to buy another one but this one was really disappointing. Looked exactly the same but was way too sweet, had no other flavours, just sugar. That’s quite a bummer when you spend 16 euros on a little pie...

Pros: Some vegan options, Very friendly staff

Cons: Bit expensive , Not always good pie :(

❤️

I ordered all the vegan cakes for my birthday here and they were amazing. Not even that expensive. Would definitely come back here again.

Cosy breakfast/lunch with lots of vegan options

I went for "brunch" and had a simple but very tasty cheese and tomato "tosti" in a seeded bread roll (listed as a kids option), an oat milk latte, and then we shared a 'proeverij' platter of sweets (2 bites each of 4 different cakes).

Unfortunately, they had run out of the carrot cake so three out of the four cakes were chocolate-based, but they were all delicious. We especially liked the apple pie.

Would definitely recommend for cakes and tarts!

Pros: Lots of vegan cakes , Vegan savoury options (including vegan cheese)

Cons: Small sitting area, Menu not online

Cakes, lunch and vegan high tea

This place is mainly known for its cakes, but they do lunch as well. I had a hummus sandwich on homemade glutenfree bread which was really good.

I will definitely go back to try more of their options.
