Best Vegan food so fresh - Edit
Omgsh I was so happy to find this place in Cozumel. I visited Cancun, Tulum, and playa del Carmen and it was by far the BEST food I had my whole time in Mexico. I tried several. The owners warmed my heart so much. We talked for awhile. They were so nice and had a beautiful family. He made me the calzone which wasn't on the menu that day. I had the Baja tacos and cheese sticks all to die for. Whenever I should make it back this way I will stop here. It was a nice family atmosphere and they were doing some homeschooling with their son. You won't be disappointed! You must try it.

Sol de Maple is my favorite vegan restaurant in Cozumel and in the region.
Read moreI had the pleasure of eating at Sol de Maple multiple times and was able to try many of their menu items, which are all incredible. Some favorites include: the mole, tacos baja, pizza, lasagna (since becoming vegan, this lasagna was the one that tastes closest to the original non vegan version), calzone, cakes, and the cheese sticks (must order) which absolutely blew our minds. Their made-in-house cheese tastes so close to the real thing and was ridiculously good.
The staff are so kind and friendly, and it is clear that they are very passionate and masterful at veganizing dishes. The flavors in their dishes work so well together and feel like a lot of thought and effort was put into them.
Pros: Great drink options, Can’t go wrong with any menu items, Lovely staff

The chill music vibes soothed my sadness soul. And my partner is going to love this place when she’s it if the deco chamber

Not just the best in Cozumel, but of all time - Edit
This place. If I could give it a 10 stars out of 5, I would. The enchiladas (green) were truly divine. The flavors were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Wow, I still can’t believe it. (The restaurant is also air conditioned which is a nice escape from the summer heat!)

Part of the reason I love supporting vegan establishments is that this consciousnesses fosters care in other areas as well. It’s a small restaurant but they love and support art as evidenced by art and food events they co-create with the outside community. They also have art up from different local artists as well as sweet painted sayings.
Read moreAnyway the food is good. It feels nourishing. It’s also big enough where you don’t want to order too much. We can eat appetizers and meals typically (and dessert). We knew we were going to come back because there were too many things that we wanted to try, but the first time we ordered nachos and two main dishes and it was too much. (This review is being made on the second visit. We might have to come back one more time as we still want to try their buffalo cauliflower). Anyway the nachos we’re fabulous. Delicious chips.
On this second visit my hubby got the nachos again (they are that good) and I got the mole. Had they handed me a spatula the plate would have been completely clean but I did a great job with just a fork and knife. Hubby got an Oreo shake as dessert and it definitely is. I had ordered a “Pink latte” which was made with beat extract and almond butter - fantastic! I’d love to try one of their other non-coffee “lattes” made with almond butter on the next visit. We will probably get those nachos yet again. Last note is that on the first visit we got their sparkling beverages with fruit called “Fruits and lime frothy” - super nice. Fuzzy and light.

Definitely going back to try some of the other options while I’m here. Had the super nachos with added mushrooms. It was a big plate. I ate the whole thing even though I was full halfway though. Also had the matcha latte. Really enjoyed.

The melted cheese sticks and lemonade were amazing! The rest of the food we had lacked in flavour, and the place seems a bit confused, with a wide variety of both Mexican, American and European food. Staff is very friendly and attentive😄

thanks to happy cow, we easily found sol de maple, just an easy 10 minute walk from the passenger ferries. they have an extensive menu, both in spanish and english, and both of our meals were excellent. we mentioned to them that if we lived in cozumel, we’d eat there every week! go check it out!

The food was so good. My non vegan husband came with me while I ate, he started nibbling on my food and said it was the best food he’s had on the island. He doesn’t hand out praises like that. We had the cheese sticks, buffalo cauliflower and the the chorizo burrito with the soy meat. All delicious, the cheese sticks were mind blowing. It’s not often us vegans get something like that. Definitely stop here on your trip.

Great Find in Cozumel - Edit
I always prefer spending my money at vegan restaurants so I was pleased to discover Sol De Maple this year. I went back multiple times during my week in Cozumel because I really enjoy the buffalo wings, Mexican style tofu, and milkshakes. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Cozumel.

Great food for a great price. The tacos and enchiladas were amazing. Note that the milkshake was more like chocolate milk rather than what you'd expect from a milkshake. Highly recommend it overall!

We were so happy to find this vegan restaurant while traveling in Cozumel! I’ve been vegan for over 23 years and it was fantastic. We went with a group of 8 and everyone’s entrees were wonderful! We especially loved the nachos, Buffalo cauliflower, enchiladas, Mexican tofu and Parmesan tofu! Even picky eaters in the group said it was one of the best vegan restaurants they’ve ever been too. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The ice cream sundaes were the perfect close to the meal!
