We took an early dinner there and the food was very tasty and the portion sizes are typically very big. We almost struggled to get it all in. It is probably also a nice place to have an afternoon coffee or milkshake because they have a lot of them on the menu. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Go for the tiramisu - Edit
After multiple nights of dining with 12 omnis, I needed a break from mediocre veg fajitas. Had the chorizo burrito which was flavorful, wasn’t overwhelmed. But the star was the tiramisu. I’m pretty picky about my desserts and this was one of the best I’ve ever had and I am a jaded New Yorker.

Vine con mi familia a probar este restaurante por que en nuestro hotel batallamos por comer algo, ya que no había mucha opción vegana y vegetariana, que bueno que vinimos aquí por que nos sacó de apuros!. Downtown location. Locally owned and operated. Committed to excellence. My go to while on the island. Have eaten here 30 times at least. Baja Tacos are my go to. Burgers are also excellent and vegan desserts are delicious.

This is a cozy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and a very friendly staff. We went a couple of times during our stay on the island, as the vegan options are very limited. We tried the burger, the enchiladas, the tacos, and the tiramisu, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

We were in Cozumel for 3 weeks and ate here many times. Everything was really flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend not skipping dessert- the cake, the waffles and the milkshakes are so good. My favorites were the chickpea protein omelette and the tacos baja although I have to say we enjoyed everything we tried.

Great food and excellent value at a convenient location - Edit
Everything from the drinks to appetizers to entree to dessert was delicious, fresh, and a great value. The staff was friendly and bilingual so if you don’t speak Spanish it’s ok. They accept Apple Pay and other tap to pay services along with traditional payment methods.

I went here several times over a week and tried a lot of the menu. You'll find lots of creative proteins, generous portions, and food served at the perfect temperature. The enchiladas and the burritos in particular were amazing.

This feels less Mexican to me than vegan barrio, but I prefer the quality and quantity of food. More expensive, but larger quantities. It works better for the amount of food I eat.

Jan 2025 review: Try this place out! Did not disappoint, we came back 2yrs later - and are just sad we couldn’t eat there more often during our trip! 2023 review: The mexican style dishes are fantastic! So much flavor, love and balance goes into them. We went back a couple times we loved it so much. The mole (made from an authentic family recipe) was one of the best we have ever had. The baja tacos are executed so well. And don’t get me started on the enchiladas!!! Can’t recommend this cuisine experience enough.

Wonderful meal and service at Sol de Maple! Wish we'd had time for another visit before leaving the island. Everything was delicious and fresh, and a nice break from heavier dishes. We had the nachos and jalapeno bites, and the chickpea omelette and the smoked burrito. And the PINEAPPLE CAKE. So so good, and so many other dishes I'd love to try. Would definitely go here again on another visit to Cozumel.

The jalapeno bites were definitely the stand out though. Perfectly crispy while still being thick enough to have a good bite.
As a couple of vegan vacationing on Cozumel we're so grateful this place exists!

Came here in 2022 and went back two times this week. It's hands down the best restaurant in Cozumel. Had the cauliflower tacos a second time and they were once again to die for. Also had the burrito and wasn't disappointed. Great little vegan place, family owned and run, lots of great options. It all looks delicious! Couldn't recommend it more.

Sol de Maple should win some awards for culinary ingenuity and DELICIOUSNESS. I couldn't stop coming back. I had the tacos de coliflor, enchiladas, hamburguesa, dedos de queso, jalapeño bites, aguas frescas, burrito de filete ahumado, and ALSO I had maybe the best cake of my life there. The chef spoke to us about his process and he is truly passionate about creating special vegan dishes. Did I mention the cake? Do not miss the cake. Phenomenal spot, lovely owners committed to reef protection and environmental preservation, and off the charts great food. GO!

We spent about 10 days in Cozumel and ate at all the vegan restaurants. Hands down this is our favorite spot. EXCEPTIONAL food - don’t miss the cheese fingers, tacos de coliflor, and burrito con filete ahumado. Incredible flavors. And the CAKE! Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a slice of their cake. The frosting is exceptionally light, they have really perfected their recipes. Run by the sweetest couple, who are mission oriented around helping protect the planet and the reef.

A great vegan restaurant in Cozumel- highly recommend. We got the cheez sticks which were magically gooey. The Baja tacos were extraordinary, probably the best cauliflower tacos I’ve ever had. We also got the enchiladas which have a tangy green sauce, very flavorful. Wish I could go back right now!
