This restaurant has THE best implementation of Tempe I've EVER tried. In addition, the Staff was so helpful in explaining what on the menu could be had vegan, there was no need to constantly probe over all the dishes to find which was vegan and which weren't. The Nicoise and the Pozole with Tempe were just *chef's kiss*. They even have a vegan carrot cake that comes out warm and is honestly gustatory magic.

We were in St Aug 2 days and ate there twice. Very fun, attractive ambience, attentive service, lots of vegan options. They are knowledgeable about how to veganize. Our food was tasty, reasonable and attractive. Servings were generous.

The menu does not clearly show which dishes could be made vegan. I asked the waiter but he insisted that I read the menu. I responded that I had and it was not clear at all. He ended up being rude. I should have walked out. He was also unhelpful with the table next to me, who were vegetarians.

Got to say my experience of food out in the states has been pretty bad. Extremely limited vegan options and when they are there it’s usually beyond meat that’s not even cooked well or thought about.

Our server knew all the options on the menu and had tried all of them! She recommended the grain bowl to me, I got it with blackened tempeh which was so so good
On the side I got fried green tomatoes that were also delicious
The whole meal is a 5/5, would of eaten here everyday if I could

The food was delicious. I had the tomato veggie soup, golden curry tofu, and a vegan coconut cake with key lime frosting. Portions were large and all three things were amazing. It was so good that I finished everything on my plate even though I was super full. Worth it. Our server was a little lackluster and not very friendly but it looked like he was working a ton of tables at once and possibly was just overwhelmed. Definitely recommend eating here if you get a chance. Though I suggest making reservations. The place gets packed and wait times can exceed an hour.

This is a nice little restaurant near St. George Street with a vegan friendly menu. Everything was clearly labeled and many items can be veganized. They have both house marinated tofu and tempeh to choose from. The server was also knowledgeable about the vegan options. Very good food!

The Floridian has very clear vegan options. There isn’t a vegan only dish, but most of the items on the menu clarify if you can request it vegan or not. The food is delicious (I had the steak “tofu” frites). The flavors are unique and I would definitely recommend!

Our server was very knowledgeable and helped point out which options were easy to adapt for vegan. They clearly explained what was changed to make each dish vegan. The Citrus Beet Salad was a great flavor combination that I would normally go for. Also agree the chips and dips appetizer and left full and happy!

I used to LOVE it here. Like I brought every person that came to visit here, I thought it was perfect. Good vegan options and something for everyone. I even went here the night I got engaged. About a year ago there was a piece of chicken in my vegan curry meal which just really threw me off and I didn’t want to finish my meal. They were apologetic and mistakes happen, I get it. After that, I went maybe 4 more times and the food was not good. One server would tell me a certain dressing was vegan and then the next time I went the server said it was not vegan. The one salad option had baby spinach with dirty super long stems, mushy as heck blueberries, chickpeas that tasted like they were right out of a can, and not fully cooked sweet potatoes. I don’t recommend that bowl. I hope they add some more vegan options in the winter.

Excellent vegan choices! It's worth the wait. Our servers were incredibly helpful with vegan requirements. The chef knows how to properly prepare (blacken) seitan and tofu (my wife is a plant-based chef, so the bar is high!). Good quality food! We will go back!

This place has multiple vegan substitutes for main entrees (sub tofu) and has various salads for which you can add tempeh or tofu. I had the fried green tomatoes - request as vegan and they remove the cheese and give you a special sauce. I also had the golden curry with tofu and it was delicious!! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly, service was timely, and everyone left satisfied!

We shared the chips and dips and LOVED the inclusion of fresh veggies along with chips. I had the curry with tofu and it could not have been better. It was much lighter than the usual curries I have and perfect for a warm evening. We waited 45 mins for an outside table and it was worth it, sitting in the lovely side section. Server was great and helpful. We have two more nights here and might go back!

Had the wonderful golden curry with tofu. Other entrees can be subbed with tofu or tempeh. We were able to eat outside, and it was not crowded. Heaven!

Wondering meal at The Floridian. Doesn’t hurt that we can eat outside on Dec. 2. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The daily soups are always vegan, yeah, and the broccoli, sweet potato, black bean had just the right amount of spice.
