Amazing!!!! - Edit
The food was amazing! I wish we could visit again, but we leave before they open. I had the Sweet & Tangy Brussels, Crab Puffs, Edamame, Enchiladas, and Bocaditos (Cocadas) for dessert. Since the entire restaurant is vegan, it was so hard to choose! 🌱😋

Once again, the food was delicious and original. Tried the new plantain crisp topped with black beans and veggies, which was excellent.

This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Houston! Everything on their menu is delicious. Wide variety of cuisines to choose from. Staff are always very friendly. All their milk options are made fresh in-house.

Cute place but the food was meh and expensive - Edit
I was excited to try this place out but to be honest I wasn't very impressed with the food, especially for the price. I had the hot shroom sandwich and that was pretty good, though it did give me some indigestion later. I also ordered the fish tacos and didn't like them, and the butter cake with oatmilk ice cream tasted like bland cornbread. I also ordered one of their mules and it tasted weird, thankfully they removed it from my bill.

Great atmosphere, food and drinks - Edit
Fully vegan, a bit less casual/more upscale restaurant. Lots of gluten free options as well. The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed a delicious curry and cocktail. Will definitely be back!

All around winner - Edit
Friendly staff, most of whom have been there a while so it seems like a positive place to work at as well. There are no menu weak spots-even things I disliked simply because they’re not my taste (crab puffs) were well executed and honestly gorgeous dishes!

Wonderful restaurant - Edit
Such an abundance of vegan options, and so many interesting dishes! We got the penne pasta with broccoli and olive oil; the baby spinach salad with garbanzo beans, cranberries, raisins, carrots, onions, and dressing; the fried rice with Just Egg, broccoli, and cauliflower; and tres leches for dessert. Everything was so delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

So many delicious choices - Edit
Cute little place! I loved that I could pick anything on the menu and there were things other than bowls. I love bowls, but I’m also tired of that being the only plant-based option. The butternut squash lasagna was delicious (as were the salad and sourdough). My non-vegan son had pancakes and an omelet. He was skeptical before he started eating and then declared it better than most brunch places.

Upscale and FULLY Vegan| Great Appetizers - Edit
We celebrated a friend’s birthday who is transitioning to plant based. We had the crab puffs and nachos for an appetizer and omg. Sooo good! The nachos were spicy. My friend had the truffle pizza which was very creamy and nice. Someone else had the curry and it was seriously tasty. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I had the the enchilada plate and it was subpar. Not very flavorful. Disappointing because Houston is the heart of Tex-Mex. The queso fresco was quite nice though. I think it may have been a fluke based on the fact that everything else was amazing. My friend had a mocktail and I had the lemonade. No notes. Pricey but will definitely be going back for special occasions or to treat myself!

Read moreI stand by my original review. The chocolate brownie is amazing! Some of our other favorites are the Peachy Keen Mule, the Verde Ponderosa, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, Buddha Bowl, Birra Taco Plate, Oyster Mushroom Parmigiana, the Gyro, and of course Pancakes for brunch
Original review:
Shortly after Ginger Mule opened, it became my favorite restaurant. It is all real food. No processed faux foods. The meat substitutes are made fresh, on-site. I've been vegan since 1991. I'm very impressed by the creativity and quality of the dishes. Plus the wait staff are charming and professional. Decor is a little artsy/trendy. Bathrooms are very clean.

This is one of the best vegan places in Houston. The menu is expansive and diverse - everyone will be able to find something they like here - and the cost is very reasonable. I've yet to find a dish I didn't like.

Great! - Edit
12/24/2023 and 12/30/2023: Food was great, staff was super friendly and helpful! Visited once with my fiance, and then a second time with him and his parents.
Read moreFirst visit, got french toast (brunch special) with the waffle fries sides-- just delicious. Also got the butternut squash lasagna. It was also pretty tasty. Got the guava cheesecake, which had a delicious favor but unfortunately was pretty burnt, as you can see in the picture.
Second visit, got the pancakes (brunch special) with the waffle fries side, which came with a homemade ketchup-type sauce, which was great, very delicious! Also got the Vermicelli bowl, which was a bit of a let down. It was a little wet and spicy, and the vermicelli was not the texture I expected. The in-laws got a soup and nachos, which they both enjoyed very much. We split the tres leches dessert, which was really delicious and got the Mexican stamp of approval.
Overall, awesome place and food! Highly recommend.
