Excellent Breakfast sandwich!

Passing through and looking for a quick vegan breakfast option we were both very happy with The Grind House. The service was excellent for both the sandwich and our drinks. The grill was very clean with no sign of contamination and the cook was aware of the issue and very informative about the ingredients and methods of cooking. And the Mission Impossible tasted great! We would stop there again1

Pros: Good food., Good service., Friendly staff.

Cons: Not many vegan option.

Delicious breakfast

This place makes an impossible breakfast sandwich that is out of this world. And their home fries are amazing. Seriously no complaints about the food, or the atmosphere. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 is the price. 2 breakfast sandwiches and one side of home fries came to $28 before the tip. Definitely worth the try, but don’t forget your wallet.

Pros: Delicious breakfast sandwich, Quick Service , Eclectic atmosphere

Cons: Expensive , Only one choice for breakfast and lunch

Be careful

When ordering here tell the counter staff that a clean spatula is needed for your order. I’m vegan because of alpha-gal syndrome and I watched the line cook prepare ham, conventional sausage, and bacon with the same spatula as the burger I ordered. I gave my order to my coworker because I can’t risk cross contamination like that.

Pros: Impossible burger and sausage , Daiya Cheese

Cons: High risk of cross contamination

Very good and friendly staff

Nice friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good suggestions but was a little expensive for what you get. Yummy and a safe place

That breakfast sandwich!!!

They offer a vegan breakfast sandwich with just egg, an impossible sausage patty, daiya cheese shreds, and a vegan aioli type sauce. It was everything I’d hoped for. It was the perfect amount of greasy.

What’s more, one of the cooks was super helpful and friendly. I actually brought the sandwich back over to him, thinking it wasn’t vegan (it just looked too good—too nuanced, you know?), and he cheerfully assured me it was vegan, listing out that was in it and in such a way that made me feel he was excited by just how convincing it was. “I’m not vegan or vegetarian but that sandwich is unbelievable.”

Chef’s kiss. This is divine.

Good food and very service

I'm so glad that my husband and I discovered this gem.
We enjoyed our delicious breakfast sandwich of Just Eggs and avocado on a bagel.
Great coffee, too.

Tasty but pricey

I had the vegan meatball sub made with impossible meatballs and vegan mozzarella. Very tasty but the sub with chips and a drink came to almost $20. Tasty just a little pricey

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Pricey

Great and innovative vegan options

Both the Impossible sausage and JustEgg breakfast sandwich and the Impossible burger are delicious vegan meal options here. This is the first place I've found in Bangor that gives a Bagel Central bagel with tofu cream cheese a run for its money as best vegan breakfast option in the city.

Pros: Really well made and innovative vegan options

Delicious burger, but not much else

The Grind House offers salads, sandwiches, and a veggie burger for lunch. They are open for breakfast, but don't have vegan options in the morning. The impossible burger that they offer is quite tasty, and it is worth stopping in here to get one. However, there's not much else here for vegans (and only a couple of other sandwiches on the menu for vegetarians - one of those is grilled cheese). Grind House is in a very convenient location downtown, and it is a great place to meet for lunch in Bangor. They have outdoor seating that is lovely to enjoy when the weather is sunny and warm in Maine. The burger is so good, that if they had more available, I would give them a higher rating, but it is kind of a bummer to not have more choices.

Pros: Impossible Burger - sooooo tasty!!!, Good location, Friendly staff

Cons: Not much else for vegans than the, um, burger

IMPOSSIBLE BURGER

Two diff vegan sandwich options. I had the impossible burger. I tried the burger on my own before, not so good. Here? DELICIOUS. I dont know what they did but it tasted so realistic! The staff are super nice and knowledgable about veganism. Pretty expensive though to be honest.. $18 for burger, chips and a drink..
