Vegan cafe near Palais de Justice, since 2017. Serves coffee, tea, beer, wine, and a daily selection of cakes and baked treats plus veganised Belgian dishes like boulets sauce liégeoise, house-made burgers, salads and savory options. Offers weekend brunch until 3PM. The regular menu is available from opening until the kitchen closes. Accepts cake orders. Open Thu-Fri 17:30-22:30, Sat 11:00-22:30, Sun 11:00-21:30. Closed Mon-Wed. Kitchen closes 45 minutes before closing time (10:15pm). Brunch is served until 3:00pm on weekends.

Nice staff, quiet, cool place - Edit
Came here on a quiet Sunday evening on a sunny day. Pleasant indoors out of the sun a bit. Something was wrong with their fridge (?) (not sure I heard properly) so we were warned about a long (30 min) delay for food, which was ok with us. Had house ice tea which was nice with mint and lemon, and metal straws. Food did come about 30 mins later. It was ok. The burger bread bun was a bit weird but I can’t put my finger on why. Plate looked a bit sparse, just burger and chips. The cheesey burger is a square version of their cheesey croquettes. Waitresses very nice. Bought a space bar from their little shop. Could not see wifi code anywhere.

The staff was very nice and ready to help with any special wishes. The burgers were good (I had the seitan, my mother had the cheesy one) but I also expected a bit more from them. On Saturday evening there were many other customers, especially locals.

Overall a bad experience. We expected a lot due to the reviews on Happy Cow. However, the waitress kept forgetting things. Served us the wrong beers, forgot to serve us the things we ordered etcetera. The food was lousy. The seitan burger was gross so I would not recommend. I do feel bad to not support a vegan restaurant but I have to be honest.

I ordered the meatballs dish, it was the first choice on the main course menu and had a ⭐️ next to it. I thought I can’t go wrong, especially knowing how easy it is to make vegan meatballs.
Read moreI was wrong. Meatballs were too dense and rubbery, it didn’t taste like seitan, more of just like a gluten flour balls. The sauce was overly sweet to the extent that I didn’t even want a desert at the end.

The drinks were fine (quantity and taste), the carbonara pasta was very good, but in my opinion, the boulets à la liégeoise were the star of the night! They're ammmmmazing, the texture of the seitan is perfect and the thick sauce tastes very hearty 💚🌱
Also, quantity-quality-price relationship is good, since only with the two main courses we would have had enough. We didn't order desserts because we were full already! 😅
The waitress we met was very kind and helpful and atmosphere was cozy and nice 😊
All in all, an experience I would gladly have again! 💚

I in theory love this place but our first physical visit (after supporting by ordering takeaway during covid as well as new year's meal), was very disappointing. We waited outside until they opened and ordered as soon as we got inside. I am gluten intolerant and there was absolutely no food for me. I asked if I could maybe have some portion of the scrambled tofu and maybe some salad or such but there was no way for them to make me a meal. I find that very strange. I was left hungry while my friends ate. We all ordered coffee which arrived cold. The place was freezing too. I so wanted to have a lovely vegan experience for me and my "meat friends" but it left a bad impression and I wish we went to any other Cafe. Don't get me wrong, I will probably be back because I want to support them but this was very sad. I give a 3 rating even though the visit was truly a 1, just because I do want to support.

I remember the request for only the tofu egg salad (we do not currently have scrambled tofu) which we denied as it is not supposed to be eaten on its own.
We do however have the gluten free Marine Salad during brunch time as indicated in the brunch section of our menu.
I also asked the waiter to tell you about the marine salad as our gluten free option, they said you did not want it, so I am a bit surprised that you say we refused to make you some food.
I am sorry about the coffee arriving cold, we would have gladly made you new ones, if you asked the waiter.

Nachos and cheese sticks (Croquettes de fromage végétal) were really good. Typical comfort food. The nachos are quite big, but I could easily eat two portions because they are so good. 😋 The Croquettrs were typical starter size. 4 pieces!

The atmosphere of the place was nice, but a bit cold (lighting and the temperature). I loved the option to sit on couches, I would just love a bit more homey touch - more plants and cozy lights, more comfy sitting.

We had the spicy seitan burger, hummus bowl and chocolate cake. The hummus bowl was excellent, plenty of yummy hummus, tofu, fried eggplant and salad with flatbread! The burger and cake were also nice, but not the best I’ve had in Brussels. The portions were big, good value for money. The service was a bit slow but friendly.

A good selection of vegan food was available! The dishes me and my friends ordered were all delicious. The atmosphere inside is nice too, and there is a small outside seating area. There seemed to be only one employee there at the time though, so service was a bit slow.

Ma compagne et moi sommes rentrés dans le restaurant uniquement pour manger des desserts en milieu d'après midi, et ceux-ci furent excellents ! Voir même bluffant. Ils proposent également un brunch regroupant plusieurs de leurs pâtisseries. Le personnel était également accueillant et souriant. Le côté décontracté et "entre pote" du restaurant était également très agréable, on peut déguster les plats dans un canapé dans un décor "fait maison" assez plaisant.
