Lots of vegan options on the menu... maybe less in person - Edit
Chose to go here with some friends because it had both omni and vegan brunch options.
Read moreAfter ordering drinks, we were told they were out of their fully vegan options. They had some of the ingredients for their vegan options, like tempeh and portobello mushrooms, but no tofu scramble or vegan pancakes.
I got the breakfast without tofu scramble; it was good enough, but was overpriced ($18.95) for homefries, tempeh, a small side of salad and a piece of toast with a 2 ounce cup of baked beans. Oat milk was an additional $0.75.
Asked for and got a discount for the missing tofu, though they forgot to apply it at first.
Nice that they offer the vegan options, but there are more reliable spots in town for a vegan brunch.
Pros: Mimosa, Homefries
Cons: Expensive, Missing menu items

Great vegan brunch - Edit
Several vegan options- we had the regular breakfast with tofu scramble, toast, home fries, and salad. I subbed avocado for tempeh, and they were generous. All portions are huge. I had to take some to go. Another dish we tried was huevos also with tofu scramble. Great guacamole. Bottomless coffee and choice of milk - soy, oat, and almond. The food was very good. I will be back to try the breakfast burrito and pancakes one day.

Recommend everyone try this place! - Edit
We just fell in love with this place. An average amount of vegan dishes and veggie dishes that can easily be tweaked to become vegan. And this is all clearly marked on their menus.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and made excellent recommendations for beer and where else to go in the neighbourhood.
But the very best part was their homemade hot sauce. It is AMAZING.
Pros: Menu marks vegan options, Friendly staff

Great place to go to with carnivores; everyone satisfied! - Edit
I had a meat-eating friend visiting, and was worried about where to go for brunch so that we could both be satisfied. Utopia turned out to be just THE place! Great choice of vegan options, really friendly staff, backyard patio. I had vegan huevos rancheros and would definitely go back to try more of their stuff. Generous portions, good coffee.

Good Ambiance, Good Food - Edit
Around for 15 years or so, Utopia has staying power because it delivers quality in food in generous portions, and at a decent price.
Read moreMy go-to is the chicken quesadilla, which they make vegan for me with the grilled soy chicken and soy cheese. The fries and gravy are incredibly tasty, so skip the rice n beans option.
It's a nice, cozy atmosphere and is usually pretty busy, which speaks for itself.
Probably my favourite hangover lunch spot.
Pros: Great value, Soy chicken substitutes available, Nice vibe
Cons: Can be loud, Food takes a while to make, Line up at peak times

Utopia - Edit
I had a vegan burger with fries and gravy. The vegan burger was OK, but the winner of the meal was the fries and vegetarian gravy...yum! I would go back just for that!
