Classic NY deli food - Edit
In terms of well-made (veganized) classic NY deli food, they do it really well! The staff is friendly. They display vegan products in the front of their refrigerated cases, and the menu is wide ranging. The Prime Roots products were pretty tasty! Bacon egg and cheese was a solid option and it comes with a hash brown. I appreciate Plantega, but I also think options like this deli are great in that they can veer off the set menu. This place showed some special items on offer, like vegan chorizo. It's a great option in a neighborhood that is lacking vegan choices.

Be careful ordering online - Edit
The name of this place is a bit confusing. Not everything is vegan. This is clear on Happy Cow but not other websites like Postmates. We ordered some items online and received some non-vegan items. I could have avoided this if I’d looked it up first, but with a name like Vegan Deli and appearing in vegan listings, it seemed to be all vegan. Was disappointed to find non-vegan stuff in my Vegan Deli order, and I wish the distinction was made clearer when ordering.

Vegan BLT - Edit
Yummmm...amazing vegan BLT. Made fresh with a large vegan breakfast/lunch menu. Not everything was vegan, but more than enough was. I would definitely return.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches - Edit
Vegan menu is huge and amazing. We had the sausage egg and cheese sandwiches and also tried a crispy chicken sandwich. Next time I’ll definitely try the vegan Crunchwrap.

Loads of vegan options - Edit
Not a fully vegan deli but they have tons of vegan options from breakfast to favorites like chopped cheese. Prices are standard but the food is good deli style. If you are in the area looking for a quick bite it is worth it.

Great spot for a quick bite - Edit
There is nothing wrong or unsatisfactory about this spot, but the more health conscious may want for something less processed. Good smoothie options and Beyond meat based food

Where have you been all my life? - Edit
Well not all my life, but rather all my life I have been in the UES in NYC. Ate here for the first time yesterday. I used DoorDash, which isn't like me, but found the food was fresh and well packaged when arrived. I ordered the hot pastrami and my partner got the quesadilla which came with fries. Both where very good. I am wanting to try a cold sandwich next, one thing I wish I could find more of.

Deli with a bunch of vegan items (but skip the fries) - Edit
This is not a restaurant, but a small deli, with no seats or tables (though if the weather is nice, on 92nd Street, btn. 2nd and 3rd Aves., there is a charming little park—see photo). The deli serves typical meaty deli sandwiches, chips, and the like. However, it also has an extensive juice/smoothie offerings, and also a separate, extensive list of vegan deli offerings: these include things like vegan grilled cheese, vegan burgers, vegan “pastrami,” and the like. The vegan meats are pre-packaged faux meats by companies such a Beyond Meat, Gardein, Morningside Farms, and the like.
Read moreMost importantly, they use a separate grill for their vegan meats, thereby avoiding cross contamination. On the other hand, their fries are fried in the same oils as their meats, so even though the fries are listed on the vegan menu, you might want to skip them. You might also need to remind them to wipe their carving knife carefully before they cut your sandwich if they just used it to cut a meat sandwich.
I had a vegan chopped cheese—a staple deli dish I never tried before, so I thought I would try a vegan version now that I had the chance. It was quite tasty, though naturally, not all that health-oriented. I rate them with an extra star for effort and for its location in an otherwise vegan-starved neighborhood.
Pros: Large vegan selection, Uses separate grill for vegan items
Cons: No seating or tables, Not health-oriented, Fries cooked in same oil as meat

Misleading name but mostly good food - Edit
the name of the place is vegan deli, but they serve plenty of meat. But they do have a good size vegan menu and so i enjoyed my experience. I got the beyond meat hash and veggie platter which was good and the mango sunrise smoothie which was great.
Read morePros: Smoothie was excellent, Sausage and hash browns were very tasty, Lots of options
Cons: Kinda pricy but im not from nyc so maybe not?, Not all vegan like you’d think, Avocado wasn’t best quality
