Everything sounded amazing, so we made the trip, which is a bit out of town, but a nice walk. Sadly they didn't have any tables. They did offer to call the sister restaurant and see if they did, but we didn't have time as we had an evening appointment to get back to. So we ordered take away and walked up a block or so and sat on some benches to eat it. Had we been in the restaurant we probably would have ordered more. In my photos I have marked the rolls we chose.

We got 2 of the special rolls, 3 of the normal maki rolls, and the crispy mushroom bites- all were stellar. I thought I had given up on having a good salmon sushi dinner, but they proved me wrong!

Read moreI loved every bit of the two rolls we had, their miso soup is incredible (lots of mushrooms though, so if you don’t like mushrooms be weary) and the gyoza was really tasty with a strong umami flavor.
You need reservations if you want to sit in to dine, we ended up just ordering take away.
Highly recommend!

Read moreThe menu invites you to order different dishes and share them with each other. However, for groups of more than 4 people there is no table on site (take away possible).
The arrangement of the dishes is eye-catching. Staff very friendly. You can sit at the counter and watch the preparation of the food. Overall a great experience.

We were very impressed with the food, it was our 1* time at the restaurant. The staff were kind and the food was very good. The restaurant is cozy and ideal for small groups as it doesn't have many tables. I will definitely come back again.

Some classic sushi with a vegan twist. Everything is freshly made behind the bar. You won't be dissappointed, it's all equally delicious and beautiful. The fresh wasabi is really good.

Eating plant-based sushi you don’t need to scarify on taste. Vegan sushi bar serves a wide range of maki, inari and signature rolls which are absolutely delicious! You can enjoy vegan shrimps or vegan salmon and wide range of avocado/mushroom/seaweed products. Anything in tempura/panko is my guilty pleasure, as it’s soooo tasty. This restaurant is relatively small, and waiting time is quite long, so you can try to book a table in advance. Vegan sushi bar is also my takeaway/delivery choice - always delivered in high quality. Gluten-free options are available

Staff is biased in how they treat customers. When we (party of 2) came in, they tried very hard to turn us away, treated us poorly, and didn't want us as customers. First they said the kitchen was closed. Then they insisted there wouldn't be anywhere to sit. There was already a seat at the bar available, and they seemed very disappointed when another seat quickly became available and they had to seat us
Read moreAt first I thought this was due to it being late in the evening, but much better service was provided to other customers. Staff politely and enthusiasticly greeted new customers. They didn't insist to anyone else that the kitchen was closed, and they took to-go orders right up until 10 PM. To us they didn't even initially suggest to-go ordering as an option, and instead made it seem like they couldn't serve us
Their vegan sushi was great though. Flavors stood out, balance of textural elements was smart, and if you're looking for vegan rolls that imitate a fishy flavor, Vegan Sushi Bar has this too. A couple menu items were out of stock but overall there was good selection
