Great concept!

Very friendly and cozy place to eat!
It's a give what you can afford concept and the food is really nice. It's always a menu with starter, main and dessert. We had a juice and tea included as well. We will definitely come back here.

Pros: Friendly and cozy, Good food , Give what you can afford

Cons: None in my opinion.

Mooi principe

Indiaas georiënteerd eten waarbij je de tafel deelt met anderen. Soms wel gevoel of je in maatschappelijke sociëteit bent beland.

MUST GO!

This place is simply wonderful. Totally different in comparison with other restaurants/bars/cafes/bistros that I've ever been before. The treatment is very special and welcoming. The place itself is like a friend's or relative's kitchen, where someone is cooking for you with all his love. You are not obligated to pay, if you don't like/want to, but I think this is unfair, cuz their project is in favour of the community. We had the entrée with a tasty vegetables soup and a soft bread, then the main course with a lot of mini portions and a "crunchy bread" (it's an Indian one, and I forgot its name), and the dessert was so good with a coconut dumpling covered with banana and apple. I liked it a lot and they offered me another one😄mi amigo venezuelano, muchas gracias desde Brasil! We also drank as much tea as we wanted. All in all, you should go, it's really special! 100% recommended!

Pros: Delicious, intimating, cozy, friendly, nice

Cons: Just a daily meal, but for me was perfect

Amazing ♡

Delicious. Made with Love. Soulfood. *

No menu, food is different every time, but so good all the times I've ever been here. Lovely restaurant and owner (and people coming here in general ^^), and this idea/concept is absolutely amazing. To share the love for (vegan) food so all willing can have a wonderful taste of this great kitchen and skills. Thank you Veganation ♡
Love.

Great idea!

So we went there because it was one of the last open places in Antwerp (open until 22:00). When we sat down we found out there was no menu and no set prices. It was a surprise but we are ready to be surprised. I was not feeling very good about the looking a of the interior. It looked dirty. Also my the knife I was given was not clean. We had a nice soup - very nice. Then wrap filled with some nice mix and pumpkin puree on the side. For a dessert we got a piece of watermelon. It was great but could be better. I'm glad for the experience. We gave them 10€ per person which I think is the minimum one should pay.

Cons: Interior, "dirty" environment

Must try in Antwerp

We went to Veganation during a day trip in Antwerp. We didn’t know what to expect but we’re warmly welcomed.

It started with a watermelon juice, soya steak, vegetable soup, vegetable wholewheat spaghetti, the whole finished off with strawberry cake.

Our meal at Veganation was the highlight of our trip. It was delicious and we left with a full belly and a smile on our face after talking to passionate vegans that give back to their community. Highly recommended!

Pros: No set menu, variety of dishes each day, Payment by donation , Warm and feel good atmosphere

Best Vegan Restaurant Experience

This is a place for those who want to experience veganism two ways: the food was awesome but also the community of people who share their know how of cooking was a pleasure😄
Thanks for this nice afternoon with fresh smoothie indian specialities and a fruity-sweet dessert ♡

Pros: No need to make a choice: go there and find out

Cons: -

Matig

Het hoofdgerecht viel vrij hard tegen, maar de soep was wel lekker. Voordeel is wel dat je kan kiezen hoeveel je betaalt.

Pros: Zeer vrolijke bediening, Volledig vegan

Cons: Lang moeten wachten, Niet zo heel lekker, Geen keuze

What a pleasant surprise

I arrived here by accident just following the first find on No menu, no fancy [censored] just one cook making great good from scratch and the lovely people who walk in and out gave a little chat, grab a bite and pay or not.
These projects are needed in so many communities and it's great ofcourse that it's 100% vegan.
Ahhh, the food. It was delicious, some of it better than other but a great meal and a fantastic experience. Namasté!

Pros: All vegan, all donations go to the community

Cons: Small but cosy

Geniale Idee

A MUST visit

Started off with fresh squeezed mandarine juice then toasted crackers, breads with 4 different homemade dips. Then creamy lentil soup served with warm homemade bread. Main course was also HUGE! So much variety from seitan items and ratatouille to colorful salad. Then when we were filled to the rim, we got very unique Biscuit desserts with fresh pear juice. Camille tea throughout the meal. Simply crazy tasty and rediculously filling! Service was also exceptional. He speaks many languages so you get to choose. They also do a lot of volunteer work with the community which is where I think the donations go to. We are already planning our next meal here.

Pros: Very tasty, Huge portions, Relaxing atmosphere

So friendly!!!

The guys that work here are so so friendly... It's an interesting experience to visit this place. It feels like a little community, which I personally really enjoyed, but I understand it's not for everyone. It's not the cleanest, nicest looking place or anything. If you're not too worried about that and you like A LOT of food for your own price, this is the place to be. The food was amazing and there was so MUCH (a little too much to be honest).

Pros: Great food, You can choose your own reasonable price, Friendliest guys ever!!

Cons: Not the cleanest, the interior wasn't too pretty

Just relax and be taken care of

Find a seat and all will be brought to you. A juice, a delicious dahl and potato soup, a mixed plate of healthy textures and flavours and more ... Quiet, relaxing, and as other reviewers have noted, Veganation really feels like home. Your favourite flatmate or sharehouse food in a really good way

Everything was wonderful!

I just enjoyed a 4 course meal artfully created by Alex. There was soup, bread with soy pate, and several hearty, flavorful different entrées as the main dish. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better he brought out a fruit sorbet that was the perfect finish to a most satisfying meal.
The casual, comfortable atmosphere, delightful company of Alex and other diners, and of course the food made for a most enjoyable meal.

Probono Vegan cooking in bulk.

Feels really like home, you are going to be served with dishes of the day. I had soup, 2nd dish and dessert with coffie, everything was tasty and people very kind. There is no menu, so don't expect fancy vegan hipster restaurant. Is pro bono, you pay as much as you like (donations). This is a small group of people sharing passion for vegan cooking.

Pros: Efficient cooking

Came for the food, stayed for the people

This place is amazing and the people are even more !

The concept is that you come and serve yourself with what you want to eat, and you give as much money as you want to support the restaurant. You can also participate by bringing a vegan dish you made or by doing the dishes if you want ! It's open everyday and the owner is very friendly, the place is quite easy to find if you don't know the city.

The food is really amazing, from the starters to the dessert I enjoyed it a lot !

It's not just a restaurant but really a place to meet beautiful people and share with them, I easily spent an hour and a half and I could have stayed even longer if I didn't have to go. I'll definitely go back there on my next time in Antwerp and I recommend it to everyone ! :)

Pros: 100 % delicious vegan food, Very friendly, adorable people, Price (you give what you want), location

Cons: None !

Great atmosphere in anice surrounding and great food

Aleks will do everything to make you feel at home in his place. He is a smiling , refined individual who knows how to make people feel at ease... He is doing a lot of the cooking, but also sees for it that you have everything you need....the cookies with the tea are fabulous! So is the main dish that varies every day ... If you want a place where you feel relaxed and at home, go to Veganaation for sure :-)

Pros: friendliness , great cookies , good food

What a nice surprise!

Quickly checking Happy Cow for something close to where my friend works, I found Veganation. No clue what to expect, I also didn't notice on the description that Veganation works with only free contributions. It was like coming home: sitting down and there was the soup already! Aleks was very welcoming and super friendly. The main dish was a very nice plate with several smaller portions of several very tasty vegetables, hummus, a nice salad,... We also had very nice home made sugar fee icetea and hot tea as much as we wanted.

Keep up the good spirit, Aleks! We will definitely come back! :-D

Pros: Original, Healthy, Tasty
