Tasty and cheap local food

This restaurant is located in a nice, spacious house with tables to sit inside or outside. Besides their regular menu, they offer a different lunch special every day, but it is always the same one on Saturdays (tropeiro) and on Sundays (feijoada). I went on a Saturday because I wanted to try the tropeiro and it was amazing! First of all, it was served really fast. Second, it was a large portion and everything was delicious! Nothing special about the rice and the kale, but the tropeiro itself was really good, very well-seasoned and with a lot of tasty meat pieces. The side salad and chips were also great. For dessert, they only had mousse available, so I ordered a chocolate and strawberry one. It was nice. I didn't like the chocolate part that much, but the strawberry mousse was divine! So creamy and tasty, wow! Loved it. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting Villaveg for some local food. The lunch special is quite cheap and totally worth it!

pf de respeito. nos fomos num dia e contamos que estávamos viajando e ficamos com vontade de provar a parmegiana. elas falaram pra voltarmos no outro dia e cozinharam o prato so pra gente. ambiente muito agradável

Feijoada deliciosa

Ótima feijoada congelada, bem temperada e saborosa. Senti a falta de uma couvezinha pra acompanhar, mas ótimo pra completar um almoço ou ter congelado em casa.

Many options, fair prices

We had Spagetti Bolognese and the Tropeiro dish. Both were tasty. They also serve a variety of smoothies and desserts. I particularly liked that they position themselves politically for animal liberation and sell political t-shirts.

Good parmigiana

I stopped here for lunch and ordered a large dish-of-the-day (R$19), which was eggplant parmigiana with rice, beans and salad. The parmigiana was quite delicious but it was a fairly ordinary plate otherwise, with beans, rice and salad, although it was a decent plate. I had a fresh pineapple and lemon juice with it, which was a bit weak in taste. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Tasty

I went there for dessert and ate sundae. It was really, really delicious! Lot of chocolate ice cream (I really loved the texture, it was kind of different than normal), caramel sauce and I never ate such a good vegan whipped cream on top! I would really recommend it to anybody, even not vegan. The place is tiny but great, and they even had vegan Pudim.

All vegan, cute spot

Cute little cafe with an all vegan menu. We had a large plate of the day, eggplant parm with potatoes puréed and veg cheese served with salad, rice and beans, the salad was nice with cucumber tomato and beets over greens garnished with sunflower seeds. Also had a Caprese sandwhich that came with tofu, veg cheese, tomatoes and some greens with other condiments. Overall, it was nice to have all the vegan options but was slightly bland. The large plate is a good sized portion. This place would be fabulous if they added a couple more flavorful sauces to their dishes.
