Wonderful Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Very friendly staff and delicious food! I had vegan dumplings and a clear broth soup. They also provided me vegan fishballs to try. I don’t like the taste of fake meats/ fish. The dumplings were excellent!

Best Tofu Dal I’ve ever had! - Edit
What a delight it was to visit this vegan eatery. I believe this is in my top 10 best vegan meals ever eaten (and I travel a lot!). The “Tofu Makhani Dal bowl” is both delicate and super tasty. Topped off with a generous slice of Matcha cake - so yummy! I’m definitely going back to try another dish before I leave Hong Kong. Relaxed vibe and friendly staff made this experience all the more pleasurable 10/10! P.S. I returned for more and ordered the Spicy Sichuan Mala Spaghetti and a slice of pistachio cake (2 more photos added). Once again, yummy!!

Wow! Must try! - Edit
Finally a “Years” restaurant in HK Island 🤩 I was skeptical about the sushi dishes (in my experience vegan sushis can be pricy yet not filling) but these ones were bomb. Both the flavours and portions were 💯 My carnivore husband approved and we left the place with full bellies 🤰🏻🫃 I can’t wait to go back and try the blueberry sourdough bagel brekkie!!

Beautiful Flavours Of Summer - Edit
We were actually planning to eat elsewhere in the area when we received notification that Wanaka was a newly-opened branch of Years. Having long intended to visit Years, it was far too convincing to pass up and we went!
Read moreThe weekend menu we were presented with only contained six items but, aside from not really being in the mood to order a pasta dish, the other five options all seemed enticing. We chose the all-day breakfast and one of the sushi offerings. Also, got a smoothie and one of the tarts to complete what was, hopefully, going to be a nice, light lunch.
And it was!
Cooking in both dishes was kept to a minimum and what we were presented with was very well-selected and well-cared for ingredients, prepared with proper creativity. The breakfast contained a very well-executed tofu-based substitute for scrambled eggs. With a nicely-dressed salad and some spiced avocado, this was a great dish. The addition of a pineapple popsicle made it fun! The sushi dish was actually surprisingly filling. The homemade thousand island was a winner.
Both dishes contained a surprisingly authentic attempt at salmon sashimi. This brought everything together.
The tart after was great, too. Achieving buttery pastry in vegan baking is always difficult and they got the flavours right, too. The cream on top was also convincing.
The smoothie itself was the least spectacular. It was pretty much what you'd expect.
Great meal and although, the premises are a little cramped, it adds to its charm in a way. It would be fantastic if they could get a setup so they can accept card payments. We did have to leave, withdraw cash and come back to pay, which is never ideal.
Pros: Small, Well-Executed Menu, The Amount Of Raw Ingredients Used, Creativity Throughout The Menu
Cons: Do Not Accept Card Payments At This Time, Indoor Seating Very Limited
