Good healthfood store

Large store, set back from the road, offering fresh produce and a full range of food and household products, as well as makeup and supplements, refillery station and bulk foods. Lots of vegan items, and the fresh vegetables looked good. Friendly service.

Vegan range decreasing

This place still has some speciality vegan items - hub pies, angel food cheese, coconut yoghurt, sausages etc - but it doesn’t have anywhere near as much vegan stuff as it used to. No tofurkey, no (or little) Gardein (maybe because this brand is in supermarkets in Nz now), no leahey. It’s still a good place if you after general organic items.

Pros: Large organic range, Barista on site, On site car parking

Cons: Vegan range decreasing

Nice vegan-friendly store

Nice shop! Super friendly staff, large choice of vegan mock meat and vegan cheese. They have many Tofurky products, vegan cookies, chocolate, and yogurt. Some items are very expensive (like some kinds of vegan cheese), other extremely convenient (vegan ham for instance). I bought vegan tuna, ham and steak. Parking available.

PERFECT

First of all, the selection is fantastic. They have so many brands that no where else stocks, like tofurky and biocheese. I walked in and was looking for ages at all the new products I'd never seen and was approached by a staff member. She asked if I needed help, and if there was anything specific I was looking for. She even said to let her know if there is any thing because they will order products in for you! She was so friendly an helpful that I've been back twice. Some items are very expensive, but this is understandable as they are new and are stocking products that must be difficult to source. Their amazing service makes up for the prices. I will definitely continue to shop there every week!

Pros: Amazing customer service , Great range of brands & vegan options, Great parking for the area

Cons: Some items are expensive

Great Service & Passionate

Hadn't been in before today. Recieved great service (showing me different options on products and where things were in the shop) and it was obvious that they are passionate about what they are trying to do! Such a good vibe. More stock being added all the time by the looks of things too. Will visit again!

Pros: Customer Service, Passionate about their work

Cons: Some items were expensive

heaps of vegan items

I was excited to see how many vegan grocery items this shop has. Their range is probably one of the widest in Christchurch and I was able to find foods that previously I had bought out of town. They have my favs such as Plamil vegan mayo, Soyatoo whipping cream, Tofurkey fake meats and much more including gluten free and organic supplies. They also have the Little Island ice blocks. There is an organic selection of fresh veges and it was nice to be offered a free piece of fruit at the checkout to nibble on when my purchases were made. Unfortunately they do sell meat but at least it is at the back of the shop. The shop is easily found being right on Riccarton Rd which is one of the main roads in Christchurch, and next to the Buddhist temple which hopefully soon will reopen their vegetarian cafe once their earthquake repairs are done. There is no on street parking but they have their own off street car park so you can just drive straight in. The staff are very helpful and vegan friendly.

Pros: lots of vegan hard to find items, nice staff, good location with off street parking

Cons: they do sell meat
