Wonderful dinner! - Edit
I found this place on a vegan travel page and it did not disappoint. We were recommended the vegan mezze and the food was fabulous - so much of it too. We were given a complimentary cherry ice cream at the end which was wonderful and refreshing; even as someone who doesn’t really like ice cream🍨

Amazing Cypriot homemade foods, cooked from the owner’s, good atmosphere and of course full vegan maze of 15 plates. Mrs Nancy was so friendly and polite. We recommend you to check this restaurant.

Read moreHowever, you need to read the menu carefully! There are some dishes in the menu that are marked as vegan but they are in fact only vegetarian, since they contain cheese for example! Apparently it means that these dishes can be made vegan, but if you just order them, trusting their marking, you’ll get a vegetarian dish! So be careful there and rather ask the waiter to specify!
Apart from that the food was nice. Quite expensive though, but good portions. Unfortunately they forgot to veganise our starter (marked vegan, but said to have cheese and butter; I asked for the vegan option, but when they brought it there clearly still was cheese on it), so I ended up giving it to my friends. All in all a mixed experience.

Obviously the menu states vegan as they are vegan!!!!! Are you not aware of vegan cheese and vegan feta? Propably not!!! If you asked for vegan you got a vegan dish with vegan cheese!!!!

I’m not talking about the pasta with feta (which was vegan, I know), I’m talking about the garlic bread which can be made vegan, but was not. You can be sure I’m aware of plant-based cheese, and that I can tell the difference.

I’m not gonna discuss this any further after this comment. If you look at the last page of your menu, the allergens for the garlic bread say “cheese” and “milk”. I don’t doubt you can make it vegan, but I didn’t get the vegan version. In fact, I also told the waiter about it. He apologized and said he can exchange it. I refused because I don’t want food to be thrown away, so I told him that it’s okay and my friends can eat it. Again, I don’t doubt that you can make the dish vegan, but in this case a mistake was made, and it is my right to inform others in a review that this can happen so they should watch out for it. Since you haven’t been present, I would ask you to respect what I have experienced and not just question my observations without knowing it any better. Thank you!

We have just got back from The Windmill after having the amazing vegan meze for 2 people. Wow! So much delicious food that just kept coming. I think there were 18 dishes.....? Highly recommend.

They had quite some vegan options, and the waiter did think along. I had the cauliflower wings, and a pasta. Both were good and came in well-sized portions. The atmosphere was friendly too. Reservations are recommended.

The atmosphere is beautiful, as well as having a very kind staff who all know what vegan is. We orderd 2 meze vegan, starter chickn wings and stuffed mushrooms. And it was sooo much food we couldn’t even finish. So you get much food for the price. The waiter came back all the time and served more and more food and it never seemed to stop hahah :)) I recommend highly going! Aswell them giving us a free desert 🥰🥰

We had the vegan meze for 2 of us and there was so much food we couldn't fit it all on the table! They had vegan feta which was a real bonus!

We had the vegan mezze which was so much food! And not just the hummus, tahini and olives you can get at other places. The cauliflower chicken was our favorite.
Read moreWe recommend also getting the stuffed mushroom as it was not in the mezze but was amazing. Maybe not though, as we were too stuffed to try any of the 4 vegan desserts.
Everything was clearly labeled and the staff was very knowledgeable.

Very good food in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and takes the time to discuss the vegan dishes. The dishes are clearly marked as vegan on the menu. All in all, highly recommended, the best meal I had in Paphos.

I visited after recommendations on social media and we weren't disappointed. We had the vegan Meze and it was beautiful. My husband is also gluten free and they were absolutely superb at adjusting it to accommodate us both. They truly deserve the excellent reviews they get.

Loved it here. Everything from the food, the service, to the ambience of the restaurant was amazing! I got the vegan mezze for 1 and it came with BBQ cauli, rice, sautéed mushrooms, lots of peas, butter beans, potato and deep fried cucumber (?). Everything had so much flavour!! 10/10 will be visiting again😄

Best restaurant I’ve been to for vegan food options in a long time and I travel a lot! The staff is very nice! Even kind to the stray kittys that wander about the streets. (Cyprus island has a lot of stray cats) they brought us 2 amazing vegan dishes for free to try! And they had vegan feta for my pasta! 13/10 for everything. So happy we came here. They also gave me the recipe for one of the traditional vegan dishes that I was super yummy! Love love love this place!!! Wish I could give 5 stars everything was delicious and fantastic vegan garlic bread!

Awesome vegan Meze - Edit
The vegan meze was just fantastic. There were all sort of small local dishes and by the end we were truly stuffed. Moreover they had several vegan desserts and we tried the vegan Baklava. Would recommend everyone to go for the vegan meze!

Had the vegan platter which was enough food for two. The vegan platter consisted of a selection of local dishes from spinach and rice, fried cauliflower, mixed beans and rice and other assorted delights.

Nice staff. Sometimes took a little longer before they helped you because it became quite busy after 7:30, but that was no problem. Should take your time to eat here because it is delicious and very filling.

There are enough vegan options to get you stuffed. And they are all delicious. My very favorite was the Chick’n’wing wich was delicious cauliflower! The fava is different than any fava I’ve had and I strongly recommend it. The staff is super friendly and the house white wine is delicious. If I had more time here, I would go back!!! Ps: best bread in Cyprus- and I usually skip the bread.

Lovely interior and exterior, deserves the highest stars as the staff were so friendly, attentive, gave us a free starter to share of rice and lentils, free dessert of sorbet to show us their vegan range and also gave me some vegan cheese for my spaghetti.

Lovely setting in an old building and family run with friendly staff. They are totally across vegan options for a comprehensive Mezze (arrive hungry!) and have a delicious homemade baklava without honey for dessert amongst other vegan items.
