If in need - Edit
After walking out of the once mighty The Hug & Pint, I needed to find some pre-gig food. Lately, I've been exploring new dining venues so much that when I was asked to name my favorite dish of the month at a recent meeting, I couldn't. The quest continues...
Read moreI tried the fried wontons, but they were disappointing. They had an overpowering amount of five spice, and the vegetable filling was more like a purée meant for infants. For the main course, the portion was generous with plenty of tofu, but the black bean sauce had the consistency of miso soup. It was not impressive and arrived very quickly, which suggested a lack of attention to quality.
While the menu was clearly marked and the staff were helpful, there are far better dining options within a short walk from this place.
Pros: Staff, Clearly marked

Over priced - Edit
You have to view the menu on your phone, its a large menu so its quite difficult to view everything esp checking what is vegan. I ordered the vegan version of the miss ramen and even though I made it clear I was vegan, it came out with an egg in it, not sure if all staff know what vegan means? When my actual dish arrived I was disappointed considering it was the same price as the meat version, felt like packet miso soup, a few noodles, tofu and some greens, nothing special and not worth £13. My friends enjoyed their meals but we all agreed its over priced and generally wasn't the best meal out experience

Delicious vegan options - Edit
Was given a full list of vegan options when I asked if there was anything, will post here - food was delicious, would definitely return. Would love if a vegan menu was offered as standard

Good noodles - Edit
Had the seaweed salad and udon stir fry. Admittedly, I’m partial to seaweed salad and udon (I love the big chewy noodles!), and so when I saw those on the menu I knew I was going to be happy as long as they didn’t screw them up. Not only did they not screw them up, but they were quite good, and I would definitely go back!

Cons: A little expensive
