Great for brunch with friends

Came to Analogue Garden for brunch with a group of four people and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the place is a bit pricy and the portions aren’t huge (some of the menu descriptions make it sound like there’s a lot of food), but they have several vegetarian options, which they are happy to veganise upon request. Plenty of vegan drink options too. They have their own roasting machine for coffee beans and served my flat white in a cute, cone-shaped cup. Although it wasn’t exactly a flat white (proper flat whites are hard to come by in Korea, unless it’s a place run by an Aussie/Kiwi), the quality of the coffee was fine.

I enjoyed the falafel plate, though the lettuce/cabbage mix wasn’t anything special and I didn’t like one of the sauces it came with all that much. I would have also preferred a slice of bread (or real pita bread) with it, rather than one of those sad, store-bought tortillas. But I was happy with the food and would come back to this place if in Hongdae, particularly if with a mixed group of people (i.e., vegans and non-vegans), because Analog Garden caters to everyone’s diet. Overall, a good experience - 3.5* is probably more accurate, but since that option is not available, I gave 4* (3* feels too low).

Tip: If you use the QR code on the paper menu, you will get a digital menu that has images of the food too.

P.S. There were some shelves with groceries (couscous, capers, etc.). I didn’t ask, but it seems these were available for purchase. Was happy to see some familiar, European brands.

Pros: Happy to veganise the veg menu options , Cozy atmosphere, Accommodating staff

Cons: Pricy, Popular, so you might not get a seat/table, Music was a bit loud for conversation

Solid Brunch option

The place itself is really cute, very nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly. They can make the drinks vegan with soymilk which is good. The vegan food options are limited though, the falafel plate and sandwich can be made vegan and it is good food, just that there's not that much to choose from.

Falafel wrap ok

They " veganize" 3 dishes by excluding items. While this sounds ok it does not always work well. With the falafel wrap, taking away the non- vegan sauce but not adding a vegan replacement left it dry. Any vegan sauce would have improved wrap. Falafel tasted ok, just bring your own hot sauce. Soy latte was very good. Would come back for a coffee anytime!

Nice falafel

Nice addition to Hondgae neighborhood. They have vegan falafel or can sit with coffee.

Pros: Nice falafel

Cons: I thought portions were small.
