once a favourite

I first stumbled across Kao Thai walking down Sydney Rd - they had a poster in the window for lunch specials. Not sure whether they do these any longer but they were great value. It’s a nice place to sit inside, especially at lunchtime when it’s quieter - tends to get very busy in the evenings. A small restaurant with simple decor and plenty of natural light. Was really pleased when they introduced a vegan menu - no special menu items, just making the current vegan options clear. For a long time, this was my favourite Thai restaurant around as their dishes were lighter and fresher than most. Recently their serving sizes seem to be getting smaller and smaller and they seem to be using less veggies.
