Vegan with a Portuguese Touch - Edit
100% recommend the Portuguese sausage and cheese croquettes with spicy sweet chili sauce and the Francesinha. Was very surprised with the vegan adaptations they do (to typically meat dishes). Hopefully will come back again ASAP!

The only thing I can say is - WOW - Edit
I tried a traditional Portugese dish “francesinha” and honestly it was so good! For the dessert I had a “snickers cake” and it was mind-blowing. If you love the flavours of snickers - it is a must try!!

i didn't like the food taste so much - Edit
the main dish was really lacking everything in my opinion, like salt and spices and everything. it was really bland and hard to eat. the mushroom appetizer was also lacking and not so tasty. the francensinha was ok, but nothing really . soup was good. so, unfortunately there are better places in lisbon imo

I loved their Francesinha! - Edit
I love vegan restaurants that vegsnise traditional local dishes. That’s why I went to Kong to try their francesinha. I never tried the original francesinha that is made with meat and cheese, so I can’t compare, but I can honestly say that the one I tried in this restaurant was delicious and very filling.

Cute vegan spot! - Edit
We had two traditional Portuguese dishes that were made vegan. My francesinha was really good, a lot of vegan protein and tomato sauce though. My boyfriend had the vegan octopus which he enjoyed as well (:

Service was amazing, very friendly staff. Super busy little spot, but I was able to get in both times. Yes, I went back twice because it was so good and think I might squeeze one more in before I leave town.
Read moreI had the “fried fish” with Portuguese rice and salad, the potato and “chorizo” croquettes, and the cauliflower wings. All of it was crafted to perfection. I loving trying veggie versions of traditional dishes. 10/10
The house wine is 2.50 a glass!
The desserts look really good too. I want to try the whole menu. This might be my favorite vegan restaurant in Lisbon — definitely at the top!
Pros: Amazing staff, Perfectly Crafted , Gorgeous Flavors
Cons: You might need a reservation

Hello Sharon,
Read moreThank you for visiting Kong and for your feedback.
We're very sorry that you waited a long time for your food. This is not the norm at our restaurant, but unfortunately it was a big problem yesterday.
We will make the necessary changes and hopefully this won't happen again in the future.
Best regards,
Kong's Team

Authentic Portuguese dishes - Edit
I love that Kong offers authentic Portuguese food, vegan. I was so exited to be able to try a francesinha and bitoque. The fish is made of celery, so if you’re not a huge fan of celery, I’d steer clear. I actually came three times during my stay, which is something I’d normally never do. Service was extremely friendly each time.

Authentic vegan Portuguese food - Edit
Having read up on reviews previously, we were keen to try Kong as we wanted to try Portuguese food.
Read moreFor starters, we ordered the croquettes which were great, with a complimentary dipping sauce.
Also had the mushrooms with cheese and bacon - loved these! Would recommend!
For the mains we ordered the fish which came with rice and beans and a salad. The fish was excellent - never had celeriac for fish before but was very tasty. The batter was nice and good portion.
The rice and beans were very tasty too and went well with the fish.
We also ordered the francesinha (hope I spelt that right) which was layers of meats, bread, cheese and veg in a tomato soup almost. This was very filling but really tasty and fun to eat!
It was great to try something different in Lisbon and not settle for fries and plain pizza - would recommend.
Good service - friendly waiter however food took a while for the mains.
Pros: Interesting food

Ponen cariño y cuidado tanto en el trato a la clientela como en su cocina. Sus platos típicos veganizados merecen mucho la pena. La tarta crudivegana es casi obligatoria.
