Super friendly & tasty! - Edit
We've been visiting Penang for many times already enjoying its vegan places. From our experience, we consider Pinxin as one of the best spots in the city. It's run by a super friendly vegan family, offers a great variety of dishes from both Asian & Western cuisines and [what's even more important] all of them are awesome! The atmosphere here is extremely cosy and full of vegan love.

Good vegan brownie - Edit
I went to eat only some vegan sweets. It was late at night, so they didn't have only chocolate brownie, which was very good(sweet and sour)

Good food, all vegan, friendly and attentive service, airconditioned and prices are not over the top. Unfortunately only went there once during my stay in Georgetown.

Very good food! - Edit
Went there twice and was very happy!
Read moreThe first time I've had the Nasi Lemak and the Charcoal Dark Hericium Burger. It was the best Burger, that I've ever had and the local dish was also perfect!
With choosing the free refill drinking water for 1 RM I spent less than 43 for a huuuge meal. Normal people probably spend less than 30, so the prices are reasonable.
The second time I tried the Buddha Bowl, which was really nice aswell and some rice rolls with a dark sauce... Not my taste, but that's no Con for me.
The restaurant itself is also cool. Beautiful paintings on the wall and clean bathrooms. Most of the staff didn't smile at all, but maybe they just had a rough day (:

Quite Average - Edit
Dined last night with modest expectations. Food was average to poor and most notably the service was unfriendly and curt. Had a large variety of items - noodles were ok, salad was very poor, western dishes average. Very limited drinks available and no desserts.

Disappointing - Edit
The food was ok. I was expecting so much better, but I've had a lot better elsewhere. Hated the kwang chiang. The jasmine butterfly tea was disgusting, but I should know better than to thing mixing butterfly pea juice and tea would be good. The asam laksa was just ok. The other soup we got was better, not amazing, but pretty good. In general, adequate but that's it.

Simple, healthy Malaysian food - Edit
Had a good and reasonably priced meal here. Nice restaurant with stylish seats, signs and crockery etc.
Read moreOrdered twin pao appetiser - would recommend potato curry but not red bean as this was a bit sweet.
For main had sweet and sour rice which was simple but delicious and had lots of fresh veggies. They were happy to replace mushrooms with tofu also.
Total cost for two teas (peach and apricot is good!), two pao and two rice dishes was 61R ( £11.50) which I think was reasonable.
Western foods are priced more highly.
Pros: Nice to try healthy simple Malay food sans meat, All vegan , Friendly staff

Penang vegan saviour - Edit
A nice range of food, all vegan, with good sized portions! Can’t remember the exact name, but I had ‘healthy burger’... oh man! Can get some nice bread based food as well e.g. avo on toast! More expensive than more local food places, but not too a bad price to pay for a change. The restaurant didn’t have any vegan desserts which was a let down. The staff are friendly as well. Ended up going here twice and was very happy overall!

Great food, great space - Edit
Really amazing place. The interior is so nice, it feels trendy without being pretentious or over the top. And the food is incredibly reasonably priced. We paid 60 ringits for 2 mains, 2 sides and a cup of tea. This is cheap, even for backpackers (which we are not). We live in Hong Kong and we agreed that an equivalent place in HK would have been 3, perhaps 4 times the price. Service was fantastic, my non vegan girlfriend loved it- a must go

Vegan heaven - Edit
So happy to have found this amazing place! The food was out of this world, good portions, lovely staff and reasonably priced for backpackers like us. After exploring the famous Penang food markets and finding very few vegan options there we were disappointed to have to miss out on the amazing food culture we've heard so much about here. That's what makes this place so awesome - they've taken the traditional dishes and made them vegan so that us do-gooders don't have to miss out! And OH MY GOODNESS have they done a delicious job. We are already planning our return to sample everything from breakfast to burgers to desserts. It really is vegan heaven in Penang.

Amazing vegan cafe! - Edit
This place not only had phenomenal food but the overall atmosphere and staff were also incredible. I got to try some awesome vegan versions of Malaysian food, had a to die for cheesecake, and a delicious espresso! Seriously the coffee was amazing and I'm not usually a coffee drinker. Its a bit expensive, I paid 70 RM for a drink, soup, appetizer, cake and espresso, but I was very full afterwards! I'd highly recommend.

Delicious Wholefood Malaysian Food but Pricey - Edit
Visit on 26 August 2018:
Read moreA vegan restaurant that serves vegan versions of Malaysian food, a small selection of western food and VEGAN CAKES!
The place is definitely gives a more upscale ambience. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the selection of vegan cakes they have, but is it really expensive. I love that their food are all made with fresh wholefoods, very thoughtful. The food is pretty good, but prices are on the high side (although it is comparable to similar non-vegan restaurants). The green tomyum I had was delicious.
When I had the Hokkien More and Clear Soup Noodle at their previous location, it was pretty bland and overrated (and prices were lower there too). Perhaps they have improved the recipe on these.
3 stars because the cakes are way pricey. Parking is pretty limited. As a vegan Penangite tho... I will probably find myself here again.
Pros: quite unique selection, VEGAN CAKES, made with fre
Cons: Expensive, Slightly Overrated, Limited Parking Spo
