Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

The best Vegan Pizza - Edit
To find great vegan pizza was one of the most difficult things since I'm vegan. I gave up to eat pizza already. But "Plant Base" had an amazing Pizza with vegan cheese. I was blown away by them flavors of the Pizza. Such a creative taste, I've never eaten before these taste. We loved it. If you're in Lisbon and you are Vegan, definitely you should try them Pizza!!!

friendly atmosphere with many choice in different type of cuisine. I understood that they want to promote various chefs. but I would say it's in category of pizzas. you can take away or eat inside. I had a great time and recommended highly this place. I just want to go back and try the rest of their dishes

Read moreHave visited this restaurant multiple times in the past month, was always well served and even in the odd case where somehow my order was wrong (which can happen anywhere) the staff was more than kind enough to make sure I got what I asked for, even going further and beyond expectations.
Usually has at least three different cuisines to pick from.
If you visit in a group DO NOT sleep on the nachos (assuming you all enjoy it) they are AMAZING, both the nachos themselves and the portion are amazing, easily enough for 3 people as an appetizer!

Unfortunately I was disappointed when we went here for dinner. We shared the nachos for starters and they were very nice, with some sort of spicy peanut sauce and a salsa. I then had the pizza with artichoke which I did not enjoy at all. The olives didn’t have any taste to them and the cheese tasted like it had gone off/some sort of blue cheese-ish? But was supposed to be mozzarella. My friend also didn’t like it at all. He had the jackfruit nachos, which were okay, but had not a lot of flavour to it. The spicy sauce that came with it wasn’t too bad though. My personal highlight was the berry cheesecake, which was amazing!

I loved my dinner there! So this bar and the resturant Plant Base are actually the same place. They don't take reservation so be ready to wait a little bit fo a table.
Read moreThe cocktails are AMAZING and quite cheap too. The food is great too, you can choose between differents cooking : burgers, pizzas, tacos, pakistani cuisine.
We had a pizza, which was nice, the al pastor tacos, very good, and the pakoras, very good too.
We'll come back for the burgers!

Plant base is a great concept. Pizzas are great but could be a bit more generous on the toppings, for me Bash, the maker of the Pakistani food is the hidden gem, so make sure to try one of their dishes.

Have other type of cuisine that allows you more options, all with great appeal.
Funky inside setting, fantastic environment, although not large number of seating.
Staff is very friendly and will help you with any need.
A place to return to.

I ordered from Bolt Food. The pizzas are good, but to be honest, vegan cheese is not for me (I'm vegan and I never really liked cheese before). So I liked the Marinara better because it had no cheese. The asian food is delicious. Looking forward to trying the burgers. It's great that they have such variety of food/cuisines to choose from.

We tried the pizza with the jackfruit and it was delicious. Everything from the dough to the vegan cheese used were great. It's been a while since I had a vegan cheese with that much flavor, and it melted really well. Convenient location and fair prices too. Definitely will go back to try the other menus.
