Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Chorizo and Chipotle (13€)
- very good but missed the bang. The staff asked me before how spicy and I chickened out so I'd recommend ordering it more spicy 🌶️ to have a better experience. Still great combo
The Pizza seemed small but was more filling than expected so all fine. Only thing to improve was that it was so hot 🥵 in there and the AC didn't seem to work.

I really like it here and have been back a couple of times. There are so many options to choose from. The food is all really decent. I wasn’t so much a fan of the pizza, the tacos were incredible, the momos and mac n cheese were also pretty nice. The prices are fair. I recommend stopping by this place!

When I read the description and it said bar food I was expecting a very different atmosphere. The restaurant was nicer than a standard “bar” but it was good. We had the bbq jackfruit pizza, fried momos, and the fish and chips. Fish and chip flavor was good, texture was a bit dense. Pizza had good flavor, I have had better vegan cheese, and the momos were great but ketchup as a sauce for dumplings is a bit weird to me.

Read moreWe had the Seitanitas tacos, the Chilli Momo and the Pesto Pomodoro pizza. Even though everything was great I would definitely recommend the Pesto Pomodoro pizza! We normally are a bit picky about vegan cheese and the vegan cheese they use in the pizza is definitely one of the best I've ever tried!

Really broad menu. Quite a few different things to try. We had the fungees pizza and some nachos. Both were good. Really great slightly spicy sauce on the nachos with a super fresh salsa. Pizza base, outstanding. Mushroom was quite good. Would love it if they did half and half pizzas, so you can try more flavours. I didn’t ask if they did that I just thought about it after!

Compared to other restaurants I went to in Lisabon, I can not recommend it: Most worse thing was the staff who seemed to be annoyed that we went into this restaurant. The atmosphere was a bit "Gangster"-like - dark, dirty walls and the music underlined this. The Pizza was ok, but for 12€ nothing special. As there are so many other nice vegan restaurants with friendy staff nearby, I would mit recommend it.
