Had the fried chick'n burger. Fries and blueberry lemonade were great. Burger lacked flavor- but great texture and consistency.

Hit and miss - Edit
I love that this place exists but it’s hard to know what to order here. Some dishes are just so good and others are meh. At our latest trip we got the sweet potato truffle gnocchi (meh) and the crispy Korean tofu (so good!). The gnocchi was very mild and I couldn’t detect any truffle flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you prefer mild or bland dishes. The crispy Korean tofu was delicious but I would have liked the kimchi to be spicier. They tend to be very conservative on spice and flavor here. We also tried a couple cocktails, the Third Colorway and Spanish lullaby—both good choices. My partner enjoyed the bread pudding for dessert but didn’t think it was worth the price.
Read moreUpdate: Came back to try a few more things on the menu. The cauliflower wings were really good but in general we’re finding that most of the food here is pretty bland. The chipotle sandwich was tasteless. The plant beef skewers were decent, reminiscent of gyro or kibbeh, but there wasn’t even a hint of garlic in the garlic flatbread. My partner got the carrot cake for dessert and was incredibly disappointed it too had no spice or flavor. We really want to like this place because it’s all vegan and the presentation is lovely, but we’re having a hard time finding flavorful dishes.

My partner and I tried out their vegan tacos and waffles from their brunch menu. It was really good! We’d love to come back and try from their lunch/dinner menu 💚

Delicious food - a great find! - Edit
So pleased we popped in to Plum Bistro on our stopover in Seattle. Great menu - we had Fully Loaded Nachos which were amazing and then I Sweet Potato Gnocchi and Crispy Tofu for our mains and Mango/ Orange Papaya Cheesecake for pudding. After a long road trip with limited vegan options it was so good to visit this fully plant based gem. Lovely service too. We got there reasonably early on a Saturday evening (5.45) and got a table but it filled up very quickly after that with people waiting. Can’t recommend enough!!

Makini Howell is a magical vegan kitchen sorceress and Plum Bistro’s food is proof. While it is a bit pricey, it is delicious, well-prepared, and worth every bit of the cost. Great date night spot.

Long time favorite - Edit
Everything I've tried has blown me away, they pay attention to the small details and bring out big flavors. I took some very skeptical non-vegan friends here and they were amazed that the chicken and waffles were vegan. And one of them loved the peaches and cream french toast so much that afterward they asked me how to make coconut butter at home because it tasted so great on there. Big win! Price of the food is reasonable for such high quality.

Great all around veg restaurant - Edit
All the food I have had was delicious. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 is bc portions and price don't seem to match. Some items are very filling while others are on the smaller side. The Mac n cheese was amazing but a small portion for a high price. Will go back. Recommend the African Salad.

My Favorite Seattle Spot! - Edit
Plum Bistro became my favorite vegan restaurant on my list visiting Seattle for the first time. The atmosphere was great, the service was fast, and the food was delicious! I had the pesto gnocchi and oh my gosh, the flavors they put together were fantastic! The prices were fair and the portions were great. The server I had seemed very happy to be where he was. If I lived there, this would definitely be a go-to dinner spot!

Great service, food okay - Edit
Decided to come for apps / drinks / dessert. I was really excited for the Aquafaba tequila drink, since a lot of reviews talked about it, but unfortunately my drink had almost no foam on top😒The mac and cheese was AMAZING and totally lived up to the hype IMO, but the mushroom lettuce wraps was actually just their mushroom calamari app with a huge wedge of lettuce on the side to build your own tacos..? Mushrooms were too heavy on batter, I didn’t taste any mushroom, and the sauce on top was too sweet. We got the carrot cake, which was actually really gross to both my and my partner - tasted frozen, not carrot-y, kind of like the cake you’d get at a grocery store, and was covered in rainbow sprinkles. Not what we expected from a higher end restaurant. The server was fantastic though, saw we didn’t eat the dessert and comped us the cake. Probably would not return sadly, except maybe for that Mac and cheese.

Charming, Vegan Brunch - Edit
If you are able, choose to dine-in to see your food be beautifully presented in style.
Read moreOur table ordered the Veggie Slam ($20) and the Plum Slam ($19), both of which were savory, comforting breakfast plates. The former had a wonderfully grilled portobello mushroom with pesto and asparagus, and the latter was a throwback to my former breakfast days with incredibly fluffy pancakes, tofu scramble, and hashbrowns. The tofu scramble was delicious but the most surprising part was the butter one of the best I've had so definitely worth it even if you can make it at home.
The only issue was that the service here was actually rather slow - hopefully you aren't starving or in a rush. We never had our waters refilled, it took a while for us to get our drink and food orders taken, and we were just not checked up on at all. I felt they were quite understaffed during a busy brunch hour and I could see a lot of people waiting outside to be seated as well. Hopefully they can get more team members on board in order to make the service better.
Despite the sluggish service, the food here was delicious, the ambiance was on point, and I'm always a fan of supporting my vegan restaurant community. Come early and with a small group to avoid waiting for the second round of tables to be ready.
Pros: Excellent food presented beautifully
Cons: Slow service

99% soy based menu - Edit
Warning if you have food intolerances. They have a nice vegan menu, but everything except the pizza has soy. Many things have gluten. I didn't have much choice after eliminating those two things. To the restaurant, please consider other soy free brands and options that are equally delicious. If you end up here and can't find anything to eat, they have a salad bar next door, and there is a vegan ice cream place around the corner and a vegan deli down the street.
Read morePros: 100% vegan and tasty
Cons: If you’re avoiding soy and gluten, good luck.

Dined alone and sat at the bar one evening - the service was incredibly fast! There were so many options I wanted to try but decided to get the Black Truffle Sweet Potato Gnocchi - the portion was perfect and the creamy sauce was amazing. Best part, I didn’t feel grossly stuffed when I finished!

Amazing! ❤️ - Edit
I got the chili bowl, the mac and cheese, and the avocado blackberry cheesecake. Everything was sooo good. I loved the chili bowl especially. It came with avocado, jalapeno crema, tortilla chips (though it was a takeout order so I wished that they would have put them in a separate container instead of right on the chili where they got a bit soggy), and cheese. The mac and cheese was delicious, but the portion size was a lot smaller than I expected.

Have it! Do yourself a favour and just order it right away. This was the best vegan food I’ve ever had. You almost have to enjoy it like a dessert, bite by bite. A very intentional lunch experience.

Worth the visit - Edit
I had the brunch with a bud. I had the chicken and waffles which had a great flavor but thought the waffle could have been a bit more crispy. Bloody Mary had a good flavor but certainly could have had more heat or something to make it feel more like an experience. My bud suggested their sandwich was a bit dry but take that with a grain of salt as they have white bread in their house.

Poor quality takeout - Edit
I’ve never eaten in the restaurant but I’ve had an issue with the quality of food through take-out each of the last 3 times. There were foreign objects in the food on 2 separate occasions and today the seitan on the chicken sandwich was inedible. This place is super close by, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering again.
