Good upscale vegan fare

Food and drinks were great and service was good. For a vegan place it is definitely upscale, but I wouldn't go so far as to call ot fine dining.

I was a bit surprised to see some of the fried comfort foods on the menu after reading some references to it being fine dining.

The Best

What can I say. This is by far the best vegan restaurant in Seattle. The food is made with love and tastes amazing. The venue itself is stylish yet relaxed and the staff are brilliant! I went there every single day during my visit to Seattle. My favourite dish is the Ravioli. I have never had something so Cheesy since being vegan, it was delicious!

Great taste and variety

The best vegan mac n cheez I’ve had in years! There’s something for everyone on the menu. My first time having gnocchi and it was delicious.

Top notch fine dining

The menu rotates and the flavors are expertly paired. We ordered an oyster mushroom calamari appetizer, a tofu and mushroom scallopini, and a lemony pesto ravioli. The citrus cheesecake was like none we’ve ever had — great tang like the “real” deal. Server was friendly and passionate.

The best!!

We had a birthday dinner here and it was incredible! Even our non-vegan friends were impressed. We had the banh mi, fried chickn sandwich, sweet potato gnocchi (amazing), and the oyster scallopini. The staff was fantastic as well, and went above and beyond for our experience.

Pros: All vegan menu, Delicious food, Great staff

Cons: Smaller venue (limited seating), Doesn’t take reservations

Open by surprise

My husband and I have heard that this place was one of the top spots in Seattle. So we decided and have been trying for to give them a try since we got here. 1st time we tried they were closed, 2nd time they were closed. Third time was charm but we barely got in so they seated us at the bar. I had a chick'n' sandwich & fries, hubby had american guy cheeseburger. My sandwich was okay. Fries were impeccable. I wanted my hubby's fries 🍟 but he was not giving them easily...😆😆

Great spot for a nice meal

I love how quaint and cute this place is. It’s a little on the expensive end, but the food is thoughtfully made, creative, and tasty. I recommend!

Upscale vegan menu with unique offerings

The happy hour and entree menus not only have an all vegan lineup, but a unique lineup. The appetizers were all delicious but the deep-fried cauliflower and spicy mac-and-cheese were standouts. Dinner offered a tangy vermouth tempeh; black bean sauce over tofu; and a more diner-oriented chicken burger with fries

Service was excellent.
NOTE: no matter the size of the group or the bill total, the restaurant automatically adds on a 20% service charge for restaurant team compensation and access to benefits. Staff did not highlight this built-in charge, and the bill contains another blank line for the tip. This is not a widespread practice, in the restaurants we’ve frequented, so we would have appreciated this being pointed out to us with a suggestion to consider supporting the staff with additional tipping. In the end, we double tipped unaware of the built-in tip, and that left us with a bad taste in the aftermath about the dining experience.

Pros: Delicious food, Unique ingredients and food combinations , Excellent service

Cons: No reservations for smaller groups, 20% charge added to bill; no verbal warning , Heavy, comfort food; lighter fare needed

Amazing Vegan Brunch

My girlfriend and I decided to try somewhere different in Seattle and since we were going to Frankie and Jo's anyways we figured we'd give Plum Bistro a shot. Since it was a weekend they were only offering brunch until 3PM. Well once I saw Chik'n and Waffles on the menu I was sold. I hadn't had a quality version since I ate at The Modern Vegan in Las Vegas almost 3 years ago. My girlfriend got the lemon and blueberry pancakes and then a side of sausage. While the sausage was a little expensive, the other food seemed reasonably priced in my experience and it was all delicious. We will definitely be going back one day to try out their regular lunch/dinner menu since there were some entrees that caught my eye. Totally worth the visit and we didn't even have to wait for a seat thankfully.

Pros: Killer brunch menu on weekends, Quality food, Reasonable portions for most items

Cons: Some items seem overpriced, Small place so not a ton of seats

Vegan date night

Had an awesome time taking my partner on our first date since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. Food was unbelievably good, especially the fried "chicken" burger (it's exactly what it sounds like, and it's delicious -- but good luck getting your jaws around it!). The people were also super nice and helpful, and the restaurant had a very pleasant and upscale vibe.

Pros: All vegan!, So much variety and everything is delicious

Cons: A little pricey but totally worth it!

Delicious!

Had the fried chickn sandwich. The chickn was okay on its own, but with all of the other toppings, especially the cole slaw, the sandwich was scrumptious! Also had fries and a white sauce. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be, but regardless it was delicous. Also the staff were patient.

Pros: Friendly staff, Large menu, Sheds for outdoor seating

Cons: Brunch items only available on weekends

Best Vegan Mac I've Had

I'm super picky about my mac and cheese and this one is by far my favorite. It's not chalky or fake creamy. It is the real deal, complete with the bread crumbs, and they cook it on the grill. They also have vegan coconut shrimp. I've never seen that anywhere else. I got a whole barbecue takeout dinner for my husband's birthday and even the nonvegan's loved it. You won't find a better spot for vegan comfort food in the area.

Brought tears to my eyes it was so good.

Plum was one of the first places with a plant based menu I was ever fortunate enough to visit. I opened up the menu and realized that I could have anything on the menu and I honestly shed a tear. The experience only got better from there. Our meal was fabulous and the staff there made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. Plum will long live on as my first and favourite vegan restaurant. Try it if you can.

Pros: Plant based menu, Beautiful space that is warm and welcoming , Great for dates!

THE BEST IN WASHINGTON

That's right, it's not the best in Seattle... Plum bistro is the BEST place to eat in Washington State, period. Their Mac'n'cheese is so good, the first time I went there (only 4 months vegan at the time) I sent it back because I was SURE there was dairy in it, it's that creamy. If you don't get anything else, get the Mac'n'cheese!!!

Pros: Everything, Amazing

Cons: Parking, Pricey

I’ve never had a bad experience

Every experience at Plum Bistro is a cherished one. Every item I’ve ordered has been exquisite, and I always feel well attended by staff. If you’ve only been for lunch, it’s worth a special trip to experience the dinner menu. My only critique is that tables are placed so closely together, I’m sitting closer to a stranger than I am to my date! I haven’t been back since COVID, but I’d assume it’s more spaced out now.

Pros: Attentive staff , Memorable food

Cons: Cramped dining room

Overpriced, cold, and barely edible

We started with the avocado roll as an amuse bouche. It was quite tasty. However it turned out to be more of a tease bouche as the rest of the dishes ranged between inedible to barely edible. We had the BBQ Chick’n Burger which was smothered in a sauce that tasted like it was squeezed out of a bottle. It was definitely homemade but it tasted as if the chef was trying to reproduce the flavor of your favorite television advertised brand of barbecue sauce. We also tried the Coconut Lime & Curry Seitan which tasted rancid such that we sent it back and got the My American Guy Cheese Burger instead. The cheese burger tasted like any Impossible (TM) burger you can find anywhere for about 25% less than what Plum Bistro charges. In addition we tried the Mediterranean Kebab Plate which exhibited one flavor which was grease. For dessert we ordered the Apple Hand Pies which consisted of about 5mg of tasteless apple filling wrapped in cardboard. The peppermint tea we ordered to accompany our meal was lukewarm and bland. This dreadful, grotesquely overpriced dining experience was set in a restaurant that was climatized to about 55° Fahrenheit (this was unfortunately due to the poor design of the space and the staff had absolutely no way to adjust the temperature).
